In Genesis when god is creating the universe the scripture continually refers to him as God. But when he is creating man or talking to Adam, the scripture changes and always refers to him as Lord God. I understand the entire book was written by the same author. Does this reference have anything to do with why the Gnostic faith beleives that man was created by a demigod and not the true god?

Okay I am NOT into labeling people, but I know other people do it all the time. So what does "emo" mean? Just wondering...because I recently heard of that today.

Okay, I've just answered the "Aren't Christians hypocrites?" for the millionth time. Here's the thing. I'm not perfect and I'm not saying that I am. If any Christian claims to be perfect, then he/she is lying. Every human being on the face of this planet is a hypocrite in one way or another and Christians aren't the only ones who do this. I'm not perfect, I'm just forgiven of my sins. I'm sorry if I fall short of your standards that you put on us. All I know is that God forgives me. Even if you don't believe in Him, could you please forgive me for being human?

There are too many young teachers with a very immature and snobby attitude towards kids and they need to be fired.

Atheists don't believe in anything. Does this mean that they don't go to heaven or hell? Or do they rot in hell forever?

I have to admit that I am not a firm believer in any religion, and I have my questions about God, but I don't understand how so many people can base their entire point of view on a website that is entirely based on an obvious presupposition. I guarantee that the arguments on that site will hold absolutely no water for someone of faith, so it really comes to no amazing conclusions. You all claim to be too intelligent to believe in God, but you're practically worshipping a silly website!

In the light of the above question please comment on the injustice the poor have to suffer. Think about the Somalians who have no food to eat.

In all the Q and A that I have read on YA it seems like the 2pt answer is “Jesus/God said…” and you parrot back some ancient translated and re-translated text that was a fable even then! Okay, I got that standard answer and oh let’s not forget “I will pray for you” (insert eye-roll here) so here goes if you are set, your bags are packed for heaven and you feel absolved. WHY DO YOU KEEP MAKING THE PLACE MISERABLE FOR EVERYONE ELSE?
I mean you are pretty much set, then why go after Gays, other religions or anything else your narrow scriptures ask? I am not getting it! Let’s see do you know because of Christians in the Bible belt there are still places you can’t by alcohol in Texas? And that your “Moral Majority” is actually making it more difficult for families to make ends meet and your answer to them is pray?
When does it stop? When will you start turning the cheek already?
Whew! That felt great!

The celebration involves a lot of people, fireworks, drumming and loud shouting singing. I'm too shy to ask as the area has some divisions in its culture (Manningham, Bradford) what is going on?
