God is in my pants! At least that seems to be the location of the ruling entity. Anyway, one main reason I do not believe in the existance of a diety, a "God" or whatever, is that the "God" concept is not required in order to explain any natural phenomenon.

I know, most people already understand the problem with the faulty reasoning by an above poster: "every thing need a creator, all the universe created by God." If everything needs a creator then what created God? , almost embarassed to point it out. But it illustrates my point. Invoking the God theory does not solve ANYTHING. It doesn't get you any closer to an explanation, it just adds more noise.

Perhaps religion thrives in the irrational mind. Naaa. Couldn't be *that* easy to explain.

Depends on what you mean by God. If you mean, a Biblical view of a powerful, personal male god who answers your questions, leads you to meet certain people, or tells you what to do, ABSOLUTELY NO!
People who hear voices are often mentally ill.
Now, if your idea of a god is the power of the thunderstorm, the delicate beauty of a rose petal, the innocence of a newborn kitten, the justice of doing what you know you must do even when your best friend thinks you are an idiot, the honesty of hearing a painful truth, the love you feel for your child, then maybe you are on to something.
The best things in life are not things, they are ideas. If there is a SOURCE for this, then that is as close to a god as I can get.

hah, another fool with y questions, my answer is that gods exist, but i have, by far surpassed the rank of god.... the thing is that the human's god... all of them actually... are verry similar to the true ones... a god can be created... it is an entity that feeds on prayers.... so.. if you want your god to be big and strong, pray to him.... although the human gods are weak, since humans are so few, he might get into top 10 000.....

Yes, but I don't humanize her to a mother or father, she is a force, an extraterrestrial, he is part of me and I'm part of it, she is the all, he is the divine, it is the beginning and the end. I don't follow any religion.

No.
Nor do I believe in pixies, leprechauns and fairies.
Allah is the same as god, both are imaginary fabrications.
