I have to admit that I am not a firm believer in any religion, and I have my questions about God, but I don't understand how so many people can base their entire point of view on a website that is entirely based on an obvious presupposition. I guarantee that the arguments on that site will hold absolutely no water for someone of faith, so it really comes to no amazing conclusions. You all claim to be too intelligent to believe in God, but you're practically worshipping a silly website!

First of all, I am not a Christian and I am extremely agnostic. I'd like to point out that when you say that people who take the Bible seriously are idiots that need to stop believing a book that's been around for thousands of years you are being pretty hypocritical. You are believing the arguments in a website that can't be more than a few years old. Not to mention, those arguments are catering to the beliefs you already had before you started reading it.

I have actually been to the website. I am a Christian so I wanted to see for myself what the hype is about. I agree with you. A lot of that stuff is repetititive (use the same arguement over and over again) and doesn't hold much water for someone who is looking for a faith (whether it is athiesism or not).

if you want something different that doesn't prove God's existance, but offers a lot of scientific evidence for God, check out these websites:

www.drdino.com
www.godandscience.org

I find my biggest problem with the website is that they use the reference when Jesus said "Ask and it will be given to you" and the author(s) make the claim that no matter how much/ how hard you pray, God will never get rid of the cancer. With that in mind, of course we can't pray cancer away. Next, people would be asking to not die/not be killed/ be immortal. But that would defeat the purpose of life. No one can live forever; they aren't supposed to.

It's a good site that makes very strong arguments to back up its claim.

Granted those of faith will hang onto their beliefs no matter what evidence is trotted before them. However since faith is a personal attribute and holds no value as a proof for anything it is equal to opinion.

I really hope for the sake of our society that we as a people can free ourselves from this dark-age thinking about the world and choose reality over superstition.

Oooh, Evy is lying. That's a sin (and just plain mean, for those of us who don't believe in sin), sweetheart. It is not a virus, but I like the link because it's a good website.

www.whywontgodhealamputees.com is pretty awesome as well.
So is www.skepticsannotatedbible.com.

I put links like this because I don't always have time to explain things fully like these websites. Plus, I found www.godisimaginary.com on Y! Answers, as well as WWGHA and its forum...I want to give others the opportunity to find these sites as well.

Worshiping? That's a serious exaggeration don't you think? Is google worshiping the internet because it has links to so many sites? If you have your own website is it worship to post a list of link to sites that you like? Let's not get silly.

It's kinda like "the world is flat" theory. My great grandfather swore to his death that we were all crazy. He personally had seen no proof that the world was round. So he stuck to his guns. Couldn't open his mind enough to perceive it. His famous saying, "If the world was round, don't you think we would all fall off?" Well I kinda see it as the same. I hear alot of people say "If there was a God, why do innocent children die"? As a god fearing person, I can only say it is God's will. It is not for us to understand now, but someday we will!

Some of us are just pointing people to a website that sheds light on just how silly it is to worship an imaginary creation.
If you don't like it, don't click on the link. Pretty simple solution actually...

As opposed to the people who worship a silly holy book and say it is absolute truth?

For an open-minded person.. the least that site will do is make them think.

I found that site (and others like it) way after I became an atheist, nothing is based on them.

I'm not worshipping a website, but at least it isn't 2000 years old.

Uh... I know a ton of people that don't believe in God and don't post that site, either. Hmmm...

Guess it's blanket statement time for today.
