Okay I am NOT into labeling people, but I know other people do it all the time. So what does "emo" mean? Just wondering...because I recently heard of that today.

emo is a type of music, when ppl say emo is a type of person, it means they are dark, they write a lot of poetry, and this is what a quiz said...You are all about yourself. You're a lover and when things don't go your way you become depressed. Chances are you're a very nice and likeable person but most people don't see that in you. You endulge in writing poetry and music and perhaps art. You're all about being loved and sometimes it gets to the point that your love becomes selfishness.

I asked a teen-looking guy waiter dressed mostly in black the other day diff between emo & goth. He said that goths hate everything and everyone. They are sending out hate. They are arrogant.
Emos feel that everyone hates them. They are victim-like. They feel the world hates them.
So i guess it's the direction of hate that is the difference.

In regards to music, i think it means EMOtional music.
