I walk past a Quaker meeting hall almost everyday and I've always wanted to know what they're about. (I'm a Methodist)

I am an ordinary student who's having a problem with the people surrounding me in the school especially my classmates. They are always making stories about me. They even spread rumors that I can't really accept. I am not doing anything wrong. I always make my self humble and respectful to them. I don't wanna think that they're only insecure and what so evah.

The worst thing they did is when they post a false story about me in our school publication. I was really shocked about it. Actually, I really don't care about what they wrote but I am just hurt because I treated the people who made such story as my true friends.

I don't know how to be so strong everyday when we meet in the campus. "I don't know if I should confront or just ignore them."

i asked a colleague of mine some document.. and then he replyed that he sent them to me -by mail- so i replyed with a thank you email..

now i recieved my package.. should i send him now another thank you email.. or the last one was enough..

Now guys, i want to pick up something ive been haring on this board for a while now. Alot of Fundamentalists talk about 'Intelligent Design' and God leading Evolution, but surely this is just a desperate attempt for Religion, in this case Christianity, to try and make itself seem viable?
All im seeing is Religion latching on to scientific ideas in what looks like a last ditch, quite pathetic, attempt to salvage some sort of credibility.

And Yes, im an Atheist. So please dont reply in Chapter and Verse, its non-sensical and about as good as quoting Harry Potter.

When it comes to "sin", is it really possible to be 100% pure?

I think the big problem when it comes to sin is that most of us arent able to forgive ourselves.. but if we believe in God/Jesus, whoever your God is, do you think THEY hold a grudge?

I know like most people I had regrets, and I would think that I am a horrible person who is unworthy of anything good in my life, and I should be punished for everything I did. Is that really any way to live? Wouldn't life be more pleasant if we could just forgive ourselves for our mistakes, and not judge so harshly?

A caller once called into kwave, our local christian radio station, and asked if the ppl who jumped from the towers before they collapsed killed themselves. Well imagine my suprise when they said THEY DID! Now I know suicide is wrong, but these ppl had the guts to say that if they really trusted God they would have stayed in the building.

I would like to know the opinions of other christians. Did these ppl commit suicide?

We are a society which likes to think of itself as getting smarter every generation. We demand that certain educational needs are given to all of our children and yet still we allow a great number of people to harbor ridiculous notions about supernatural beings, worldwide floods and an evil entity who plants false evidence of dinosaurs all over the earth. Surely if we are to progress as a species we need to begin teaching truths above all else. So I am wondering, are people who say, “let them believe what they want to believe” correct or should the leaders of the world do something to help educate the people? Remember we didn’t let the Nazi’s believe what they wanted to believe…….
And I don’t want to hear anyone saying I cant prove that a god doesn’t exist, I don’t have to, when you want people to believe in something you have to prove it, not the other way around. And there has never been any proof of god given.
Look up the invisible pink unicorn if you think otherwise.

Sorry I'm completely ignorant to Christianity (hard to believe I know).

I've heard a lot of talk about people being "saved" and "salvation" and what not, but what exactly are these people being saved from?

Are they being saved from themselves?

Are they being saved from the Earth?

If they are American does that mean they are being saved from George Bush?

!!! Warning - Circular Logic !!!
Since George Bush is the representative to America and is Christian, and American Christians are being saved from him, does that mean Christians are being saved from Christianity?

Are they being saved from "Satan" which Cristianity in itself made up?


Does being part of Cristianity save you the trouble of hearing about Christianty?
