Do you believe that such a small bite can get you infected?

I think it has been proven that for some reason mosquitoes don't spread many diseases. This may have something to do with the fact that the only suck blood, they don't inject other "victims" with it.

Also, you should be aware that HIV is "just another virus" in terms of what your body can fight. If you get some viral cells in your system, your body can indeed fight them off. Only if the amounts are very high will the virus be able to weaken your immune system, then you run the risk of getting infected. I think the quantity of HIV cells in a mosquito is simply not high enough to warrant an instant and guaranteed infection.

In short: I wouldn't worry about it. Don't forget that most infections come from "extreme" behaviour, like unsafe sex and the use of infected needles. A simple bug won't kill you in this case!!

Ok, I'd be upset about the mosquitoes, so I'd want to spray something on myself to keep them from biting me - it's very irritating. People with HIV don't usually bite, so I wouldn't be too worried about them
