"The disagreements within the Churches of Christ over silence often derive from differences in perception of the meaning of the word "necessary" within the phrase "necessary inference", and the conclusions which can be drawn from scripture's "silence". For example, the non-instrumental churches of Christ agree that the absence of references to instrumental music in New Testament worship mean that their use is unauthorized."
"What kind of music is used in the worship?
As a result of the distinctive plea of the church - a return to New Testament Faith and practice - acappella singing is the only music used in the worship. This singing, unaccompanied by mechanical instruments of music, conforms to the music used in the apostolic church and for several centuries thereafter (Ephesians 5:19). It is felt that there is no authority for engaging in acts of worship not found in the New Testament. This principle eliminates the use of instrumental music, along with the use of candles, incense, and other similar elements."

they feel that early christians didn't have instruments with which to worship, and that we should pattern our worship after them. they also think that it is more pious because instruments distract from what we should be focusing on God and the words of our praise. However, you can still sing through a hymn just as oblivious to what you are saying (if it is a song you know by heart) with or without music. When I am caught up in what the words say, I don't notice the instruments anyway. what they don't take into account is that the Bible doesn't say one way or the other whether Christians used instruments or not, they are assuming based on one or two verses:
Eph 5:19 addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with all your heart,
They consider 'spiritual songs' to be without instruments. They also argue that instruments would not have been available to the early church. Well, even the shepherd boy David had a harp. And if they read their Bible, the worship was done in the temple each day, where there would have been instruments. In their homes is where they celebrated the Lord's supper.

Jesus has “all authority” and the apostles were to teach the things He had commanded (Matt 28:18-20). Nowhere does the New Testament teach (authorize) the use of instrumental music in the worship of the church. Therefore, the authority to add it to the worship comes from man, not from God. If we follow a man’s authority, the teaching of men, then Christ does not have all authority.
When the bible specifies one thing, substitutions are excluded. Example: Naaman was told to dip in the Jordan and knew other rivers were excluded (2 Kings 5:10-12). Noah was told to use "gopher wood". Other woods were excluded by this specific command. We have specific commands to sing.
Nadab and Abihu in their worship used “unauthorized fire before the Lord, which he had not commanded.” Even though they were “worshiping”, they were punished (killed) for using that which was unauthorized. (Leviticus 10:1-2)
All of the verses in the New Testament that talk about music in the church authorize singing. (They are listed below.) The New Testament does not authorize (teach) the use of musical instruments.
The Bible often warns about adding to, taking from, distorting and going beyond the word of God. (Deut. 4:2, Deut 12:32, Prov 30:5-6, Gal. 1:6-9, Rev. 22:18-19, 1 Cor 4:6, 2 John 9, et al)
Why not be satisfied to worship in the way the New Testament has authorized?
Colossians 3:16 tells us to sing. The very next verse says, “And whatsoever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus.” “In the name of”, means “by the authority of”, but Christ and the apostles never taught the use of instruments.
“I could not go beyond the word of the Lord my God to do less or more.” (Numbers 22:18) The New Testament says to sing. Will you do this or will you do less or more?
Why not be satisfied to worship God in the way He has instructed?

because if u listen to music & not the church then u will find god, find Jesus and which church wants to lose u over to Jesus, God. They would like to have u with them rather than god, if u become one with god, who will liten to churches, temples, mosques, gurudwaras, monastries and where will their survival money come from, and where will they get power over others, how will they prove their superiority, over others.
