When it comes to "sin", is it really possible to be 100% pure?

I think the big problem when it comes to sin is that most of us arent able to forgive ourselves.. but if we believe in God/Jesus, whoever your God is, do you think THEY hold a grudge?

I know like most people I had regrets, and I would think that I am a horrible person who is unworthy of anything good in my life, and I should be punished for everything I did. Is that really any way to live? Wouldn't life be more pleasant if we could just forgive ourselves for our mistakes, and not judge so harshly?

If you have accepted Jesus as your savior God sees you through the blood of Jesus and not your sinful nature. He dosn't hold a grudge, because He has already taken care of it and also no its not possible to be 100% pure only one man has done that and He was God. That is why Jesus had to come. Does that mean that we should relish in our sin of course not, but it does mean that we are forgiven when we do, but also we should try to sin as little as possible its called sanctification. If you truly want Jesus as your Lord and personal savior then if He is the Lord of your life your going to have to change some things in your life that don't agree with His. Or at least you should, but to truly be perfect ever is impossible, but its the goal we must all strive for, but remember that the greatest command was to love. Start with that one and the rest get worked out. Hope this helps if I was too confusing this might work better a convo send me an email or we could im or something if this did help vote me best answer ;)

You are very true. Unless we find it possible to forgive ourselves there can be no peace. In Hinduism everyone and everything is considered a manifestation of God. So you are also God. Whatever your body does will not attach to your soul. It is an aspect of the growth of your soul. But each punishment meted out to the body is to the body only. The soul should be peaceful. Remember God is not revengeful. If you kick your mother does she kick back? Do not worry about God. This great feeling of undegoing punishments is essential for us to imagine that we are free from our sins or mistakes. I know I am a bit confusing. But all life is a bit confusing, isn't it?

You didn't say who these "people" are you refer to, but I would challenge them with their own imperfections.

No one on this earth is perfect and no one will ever be.

Sin is defined as missing the "mark". The "mark" is God's idea of the way we should live. We all miss it.

Rom 3:23 All of us have sinned and fallen short of God's glory.

Each one of us should be concerned with our personal imperfections and how we should improve the imperfect areas of our own lives. We really don't have any business criticizing each other.

We can find forgiveness through Jesus.

Matt 5:7 Blessed are the merciful, because they will be shown mercy.

Jesus came to set us free from the pain of our imperfections ands He does a pretty good job of helping us to be merciful to others, if we let Him.

You can be forgiven of anything you have done if you choose. There is no need to walk through this life with the guilt and torment of our past actions and we should not torment each other since NONE of us is any better than any other.

Joh 3:17 For God did not send His Son into the world that He might judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.
Joh 3:18 Anyone who believes in Him is not judged, but anyone who does not believe is already judged, because he has not believed in the name of the One and Only Son of God.

Let Jesus in and toss the guilt out.

different Christians have different understandings of their faith. The way I understand the Bible is that we find forgiveness for all sin through accepting Christ as our savior. After that we still sin, but the Bible tells us that we just have to confess those sins and they will be forgiven. The problem comes in that we remember and it is difficult to forget and forgive ourselves. The Bible tells us that once confessed, to God, it is as if it never happened because he chooses to forget it. We really do have freedom, but don't usually live that way.

Trying to not sin with the Goal of being Perfect is a Sin as well... everyone just has to admit to being a Sinner. you shouldn't holda grudge against yourself and no God doesn't hold a grudge but he doesn't forget any sin either.

I don't think any one can be perfectly perfect because we're humans, and God knows this too. Although God tells us that we should be like Him, but He never says that He wouldn't love us unless we were perfect. By allowing God to change us, we become better people, but never ever perfect. Also, I guess it's a lot easier to ask others to be perfect than asking ourselves to.

Why don't you stop trying to please others and live your own life?

Humans are animals and we all make mistakes. Making a mistake is not a "sin," refusing to learn from it is.

People who continually look back will always be running into walls.

Atheism, the only logical choice.

practise makes perfect AND nobody is perfect, so why practice. Only those with a doubt of god almighty's capabilities think they are not perfect, they doubt god, they have doubt, they are doubt. We are perfect, what perfection does a perfect need.
