I think scripture shows a pattern of social evolution carried along by humanity reaching different levels of enlightenment. Early on God interacted with humans according to where they were at the time. Jesus, could have introduced Amoxicillian, to his peers, but he didn't. God lets mankind discover what he already knows. God also relates to us individually, and collectively. This is very hard for Americans to accept. But all through scripture, there are instances where God imposes an action on an entire group, because of what the group did or didn't do. Consequently, whole groups of people have adjusted and grown according to God's influence.
Yes, God wants us to evolve. He wants us to discover new truths about science and humanity. I belive the Bible fully reveals all we need to know about God, but there is much about each other and our phsycial and social surroundings, that we are permitted to discover and try to seek God's plan in that time and place. When we do this we adjust the way we live according to what truth we have discovered. Graciously, God has merciful expectations, and doesn't expect us to know all truth, he just wants us to spend our few years as limited humans exploring what new truth is open for our discovery at our time and place.
When we pass our understanding onto the next generation, then we evolve.

I think so. I think that the anthropic principle is correct, we have evolved and continue to evolve. What scares me is the fact that we might evolve to a point where we become extinct, because we are so messy and careless as a species.
You don't see monkeys messing with nuclear weapons, causing global pollution and destroying the rainforest now do you?
Makes me wonder whether we really are the smart and evolved ones.....

Now hang on just a minute here. For years, Christians have denyed evolution out right, it was apparently Gods work soley.
Now, however, the facts are against you. So you say 'Aha, God invented Evolution!'
Face it guys, your losing the war for hearts and minds. The West is growning secular and with it, we're advancing faster then every expected. The double-standards of faith are being shown everyday, ie Gay-hating, and now we are being driven to a world war because of Religion.
Maybe its time some people woke up and smelt the coffee.

Man needs to evolve, god is just a force which man belives that exists who has super powers.
Today man has forgotten his duty, the new generation does not ant to evolve - they just want to copy things fast and live a quick life.

Simple answer - God as in the Bible - he never though about a thing called evolution - in fact there is no such word called "evolution" in his vocabulary. Without knowing he would not know whether to say yes or no to your question. He created everything as it is - nothing to evolve.
Evolution is an earthly term that came probably after Charles Darwin. Evolution is for Atheists from what I see, though the churches now are kinda trying to talk about it and try to show that they are scientifically OK too.

Yeah sure! GOD wants to see us evolve.
If GOD would've been against evolution, then:-
Why didn't a tree grew without being a seed?

Why??? like He couldn't have made you from the start who you are supposed to be???
If God would have wahted us to evolve, women would be born today without the hymen... and with 2 or 3 pairs of hands,... and who knows what other "adaptible" extension.

God's opinion on the matter is irrelevant.
Evolution is a fact and the only thing God could do to stop it is kill off every living creature on Earth.
