Young'ish; not bad looking with a good figure (dont want to boast); consider myself fun; open minded (open to most things); horny (enough said); scrub-up well for a night out ......... yet i find dating soooo darn hard.

Oh why is it sooo hard?????

Not long moved to an entirely new area; i know nobody and few have yet to realise i'm ...... wait for it ...... lesbian (((Shock horror)))!!

I don't know the area much, but i can tell you its a small community; mainly long-term locals. no sign of anything you might consider gay/les. Certainly no theme bars, cafes or anything.

On the few nights out i've had i've not once seen a les couple; it's beginning to freak me out.

Have i moved to lesbian hell?
Does this village not like incomers?
Is there a wicker man being built on the hilltop? lol

How do you meet new people when you dont know whos who, whats what or who's what?

If homosexuality is accepted why not incest? Some people say that their might be genetic problems in the children born out of incest.
But if it's done(by mutualy consenting adult siblings or mother/son, father/daughter) not for reproduction but for pleasure and love why is it not ok? What about incest between a son and father(same sex--no reproduction of weak genetic future) or a daughter and a mother?

So i was at a table and they were like lets say grace before we eat and i was like um no, theres no god so why would you wanna do that? And they started praying anyway and so i took out my cell phone and dialed a number and called a friend and started talking just to interrupt the whole table since they defied me. There's a competition between my brother, my sister and I - if you burp, you have to attempt to say 'beaver lumber'. Because my brother managed to actually do it, we upped the ante by making it a game: if you can say 'beaver lumber' while you burp, you could probably say 'beaver blubber'. However, this word, and 'beaver blunder' are hard to say even without burping. Any ideas why?

I read this in a post recently.

Am I alone in thinking that this is an awfully simplistic and naive thing to say.

To boil down all of society's ills down and say that drugs, poverty, and homelessness (to name only three) are all because there is no prayer in school disregards thousands and thousands of other factors at work.

I'm curious to know if there really are people out there who take the stand (as this poster seems to) that everything would be just fine in America if schools sanctioned prayer.

And if my fellow atheists and freethinkers want to jump in and ring in on this one, I'd like to hear from you too.
