I know some people who seem to be very positive and moved by the spirit of truth one day, and then the next day, they don't seem to care about anything and they're depressed. Is this normal for christians to have a bad bay every once and awhile?

Since there's no proof that Jesus ever even existed (all the stories written about him were written *decades* or more after his alleged death), then why do people argue as if it is known fact that he existed? Why can't people accept that he's a myth, like Zeus, or Santa Claus, and just deal with it? I would have so much more respect for someone who worshipped the character of Jesus (which is pretty cool) than someone who said that believed the Bible literally.

It's by the maker of The Sims, and you're basically able to create your own species - from being plankton, to land-creatures, to that species' civilisation, to space travel. I imagine it'd enrage a lot of you creationists out there - especially since, y'know, the player takes on a 'god'-like role.

Here's a gameplay demo, with the creator's commentry:

Personally, I think it'll be totally awesome. Educational, too.

Man made the bible to invent good.
A fake good, for the sake of living. To create harmony.
You can’t have one without the other. We would all devour ourselves if
it were easy to know. It was man who created the bible. All of us joined, in order to protect ourselves from the pain, the shame, instead of crying over the loss, of having no God. Life just makes more sense that way. Love the sinner, but not the sin. Come on. We both know the world works the other way around. We love the sin, but never the sinner. Because if we did love the sinner, we'd all love ourselves, but not what we do. Then what's the point of life. See. Evil always wins. We are of sin. We are of Satan. God abandoned us in our own hell. The bible says it all.

I mean, if you live in the northern part of the US, you have snow and ice and just three months of warm/hot weather. If you live in the southern part, say Florida, you have warm weather most of the time, bugs almost all the time, and don't forget the hurricanes! Excluding the ideal of living in the north during the summer and living in the south during the winter, please choose... and why. (No dissertations, please.)

The very first Supreme Court justice, John Jay, said: "Americans should select and prefer Christians as their rulers."
How then, have we gotten to the point that everything we have done for 220 years in this country is now suddenly wrong and unconstitutional?
