Life

On the first day, God created the dog and said: "Sit all day by the door of your house and bark at anyone
who comes in or walks past. For this, I will give you a life span of twenty years."
The dog said: "That's a long time to be barking. How about only ten years and I'll give you back the other ten?"

So God agreed.

On the second day, God created the monkey and said: "Entertain people, do tricks, and make them laugh. For this, I'll give you a twenty-year life span."
The monkey said: "Monkey tricks for twenty years? That's a pretty long time to perform. How about I give you back ten like the Dog did?"

And God agreed.

I've been reading all sorts of randon guestions when I came across one saying how in the fuchure only 4% of people will stand for God. Then I read the coments people were saying to that and well I beleave in God but I havent been living rite and I guess its just because I thought it was to hard but thats just me being selfish I guess but I do question myself of God some but Ive been there and felt him and I know he's real so Im not sure why I dought but when I say what ppl were saying to that post it just made me feel bad all over cause they were like good and ect and WOW it just hurt me but as of now im not really one one the ppl who are taking a stand for him but when I read that I just got a funny feeling like I outta change but Im only 15 and my parents own a bar and my dad used to preach but then he just stoped and everythings went down hill from there like how now we own a bar but Im so confuzed and IDK what to do... Some one please help me..

But news agencies are not keepers of the faith, and are not bound by law to be good and fair and true. They are private enterprises, out to make a buck like everyone else, by giving the public what they want. And if what we want is blood and guts, spectacular tragedies, wild rumors, threats and disasters, aren't we to blame for feeding off their every offering? Or should they be held accountable for more responsible reporting?

I just asked a question about why God, an immortal would DIE, on earth, some one shot back that God made the earth for HUMANS, and can not interfere, so he made a HUMAN son to come to earth to make the changes. Okay, so what are the TEN COMMANDMENTS all about? If God can not mess in HUMAN affairs, wouldn't handing down laws to HUMANS be considered messing in their affairs? Or what about the destruction of Soddom and Gommorah? Or the flood of Noah? Or the falling of the walls of Jericho? Wouldn't all of these incidences be evidence of Gods interference? Please don't be negative, if you cannot answer rationally without hate, just don't answer.

Al Gore's flood hasn't come yet, though according to him it will arrive soon unless we make drastic changes to our current way of living. It won't swallow the earth, but will flood low-lying areas such as coast lines and some islands. This will happen globally. Of course, Noah's flood has come and gone. Remember in the Bible how people mocked Noah up until the rains began? If you read some of the responses to Al Gore's recent featured question, you'll witness people mocking him. I just wondered if anyone here saw a parallel between the people in each case. I understand some people read the story of Noah literally, while others think of it as a myth or fable. I thought I'd share this thought of mine with you because when I see different ideas on Y!A, I enjoy thinking about them--and sometimes even responding. I posted this under Society & Culture/Religion & Spirituality too.

To me that just makes me shiver when I hear someone say that to describe someone else. It makes them sound old, tough and bitter. I don't think it's an appropriate term to use, especially about a lady. I could be wrong and there may be a lot of you who disagree with me.

about the pledge of alligance? i am not a christian and i don't see any harm in leaving god in it. i had to recite it when i was in school and i see no reason my children shouldn't either. i mean really ... it has less to do with god than it has to do with letting kids have a feeling of patriotism. as i say i am not a christian and i see nothing wrong with it the way it is so why not just let it be and let our kids show their american spirit?
