I wouldn't recognize God if he came as an ordinary human being. But he did not come as an ordinary human being, he came as Jesus, performing miracles, healing the sick, feeding the hungry, walking on water, dying on a cross and coming back to life from the dead.

His birth was prophecied in the Old Testament hundreds of years before he was born. It was said what kind of life he would lead, what he would do while he was here and how he would die.

Jesus has such an impressive set of credentials, God is not trying to hide that he came to us as Jesus, he is shouting it loud and clear!

Well, GOD came to abram (abraham) in human form, and he knew right away that it was GOD. He bowed down before him, he fed him, and he walked and talked with him (GEN)

I am sure , because I do believe in GOD and everything he has done, is doing, and will do, that I would recognize him if he came to lowely little me. Jesus is part of GOD and he told the woman at the well all about herself, even things that no one else could know. She knew she was looking into the face of GOD.

So yes, if you are a believer you would be able to recognize GOD if he so chose to come back in human form at some point.

If you a nonbeliever, you wouldnt recognize GOD, if he showed you ID. They will not recognize GOD until Judgement Day.

It is only your confusion that keeps you from recognising God in everyone. Think about it. I suggest you get a copy of the course in miracles and read it. It helps a lot with vision problems like the one you are having.

God is communicated with by only one means...Faith! For example, the Bible's value increases enormously when you actually believe God wrote this book to you.
God has appeared many times throughout the history of mankind. His visits, however, most benefit those of us who have faith in Him and have been doing what we know He wants us to do.
I am not being cute or clever when I say this...Walk in the way that you know God wants you to. Be constantly aware of His presence in your life and communicate with Him (others may see you talking to yourself). Spend time alone, with just Him. As you continue to live in this way I predict you will have a most wonderful and joyous existence...in the presence of Almighty God, both now and in the next life.

God bless!!

This is an Orthodox Christian response.

The trick is to to recognize "God" in each of us. That's where he is. God's only disguises are the ones we give him.

God no longer comes to us or speaks directly it's only through prayer and the Bible we have contact with him.

that would be hard to tell, but as long as the fellow who approaches you does not go against the teachings of God, you would know that he is a servant of God.
