A Baptist Minister and a Priest were on the road
near my house today pounding a large sign in
the ground, it said: The End is Near...turn around
before it's too late!!!...then a car just flew by and the people inside yelled out: LEAVE US ALONE YOU RELIGIOUS NUTS!!!

Then they heard a horrible Crash!!!

Then the Priest said: Shouldn't we have just said
"Bridge is Out!

Did you like my story?

84% Of the population believe in God. And 14% don't. So, I was wondering if you don't believe in God, why must so few of you be a pain in the butt to the rest of the nation? Why do you want God taken out of everything? And if you do believe in God, give me a good argument on why we should have it. I am a christian and I think we should keep it as it is, if not add more "In God We Trust"s to everything. I just want to hear everyone else's opinion.

1 Cor 4:5 "Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait till the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of men's hearts. At that time each will receive his praise from God."

I'm a worship leader at a church. And I'm pretty much the only one that plans the elements of the service. I need help with creativity. But we're not a huge mega-church that can do anything. I want simple, subtle, creative ideas that help keep people's interests. I need ideas for music, prayers, readings, etc. Please help.

According to Arminianism:

Salvation is accomplished through the combined efforts of God (who takes the initiative) and man (who must respond) - man's response being the determining factor. God has provided salvation for everyone, but His provision becomes effective only for those who, of their own free will, "choose" to cooperate with Him and accept His offer of grace. At the crucial point, man's will plays a decisive role; thus man, not God, determines who will be recipients of the gift of salvation.

According to Calvinism:

Salvation is accomplished by the almighty power of the Triune God. The Father chose a people, the Son died for them, the Holy Spirit makes Christ's death effective by bringing the elect to faith and repentance, thereby causing them to willingly obey the gospel. The entire process (election, redemption, regeneration) is the work of God and is by grace alone. Thus God, not man, determines who will be the recipients of the gift of salvation.
