Why would the Bible tell us to pray for wisdom and then not have us apply it? What is free will if there are no consequences for our choices?
Besides, there's a fine line between faith and presumption.
Sometimes God has asked people to do things that seemed downright foolish. It stretches your faith. Everyone who loves you will come with their "concern" and "reasoning." But at the eleventh hour, God comes through.
Other times, people assume God is asking them to do something when He has done no such thing. Or, in other words, they presume upon Him and put themselves in bad situations and tight spots.
I've done both.

This very question has been asked a hundred times. The answer is still the same. No. The church is a building and is vulnerable to the elements of nature just like any other building. 'Faith' is a virtue, not an excuse for ignorance.

What does that have to do with religious faith? Why would protecting a building from lightning damage and possible fire or power surge that houses people for services be a sign of faithlessness?

The Pope is chauffered in a bullet proof limo. Is that a lack of faith? No disrespect intended.

The Lord wants us to do all we can do and then he will make up the rest. You can have all the faith in the world, but still have good sense.

Yep. Also, why does the pope ride around in a bulletproof box? Where's the faith?

Umm...no. It says you value life. It's good to have faith in God...but he doesn't use the divine intervention like he did with his angels...to Daniel...saving him from the lions...or anything of such sort.
