Yes God is always watching over us. The bad things that happen to us are meant to be teaching tools. We may not know what the lesson is at the time but we will when the times right.

I have thought about that many many times. However I do know that God watches us all the time, but you have to remember the devil rules this world, sure God can intervein at any time and still has complete control, but if you are now living in the word of God then he will not always protect you, and even if you are living in the word of God, he can test your faith, but by saying that it still leaves me more questions, like why do people who don't believe in God prosper or people that do bad things prosper, I have the same question you have I just hope i can give you somewhat of an answer.

Yes God watches over us constantly but he doesn't interfere or control our lives. Our lives aren't all mapped out. Many things happen because of the free will that we have. Many people choose to use that free will in a way that hurts others. Some things happen just out of ordinary circumstance. Whatever happens for whatever reasons, is allowed by God to help make us stronger if we'll but face them in a righteous, loving, forgiving manner. They can either be stepping stones to help us step up to a higher plane, or they can be stumbling blocks to hinder our way. The choice is ours, depending upon how we choose to deal with them. Through prayer and faith, God will come to our aid, if we ask Him. But seldom are our prayers answered in a way we would expect.

Yes, God is watching over us and when we suffer, He cares. But that is part of life. We suffer. What people tend to forget is that God is not some big magical-Santa like creature up there in the sky making sure to grant our wishes for us. Those who think so are missing the BIG PICTURE in a BIG way. It's more about faith. Love. Understanding. Compassion. It's not about granting wishes. All prayers get answered, just not always the way you'd like them to be. And that doesn't mean God doesn't love us or want the best for us. He has a plan for each and every one of us - - it's not our place to question it nor understand.

God is definitely watching over us. Its up to you to decide how much faith you have because thats what its all about. Bad things happen to good people for two reasons: 1God has a plan for everyone. 2 There is a Satan thats get pleasure out of destroying Gods children.

Because bad things happen to everyone. And no one is good, really. The Bible says so. If you mean people who seem to do right for the most part and they are Christians then that means God is probably testing them. He's allowing certain things to go on in their life, hoping they'll lean on Him for strength. Or maybe He wants to bring them closer to Him. Or sometimes if the person's not saved, maybe God is trying to get them to call upon Him and be saved.

So that they can learn lessons and grow as a soul. If we stop playing victim about things that come into our lives and start looking for what needs to be learned then life gets easier. It runs a little smoother. You spend less time saying Oh Poor Me and more time moving forward.

I'm Buddhist, and my answer is based on what I've learned from Buddhism.
Everything happens in our life because of our Karma, not only in this life but also in past and future life. Everything happens for a reason.
If something bad happen to us, that's because of our bad action in the past. On the opposite, if good things happen to us, that's because we've done something good in our life (either this or past life).
So, if you want to know your life in the past and future, look at your action now (either good or bad).
"Always do good, do no evil, purify your mind and soul". This is the basic teaching of every Buddha.
May all live in happiness, Sadhu..Sadhu..Sadhu..
