I thought he was straight. Wrong! How can I show him I'm behind him & still consider him a friend?

the elements that created everything (when they combine) in the universe have always been around. its just like saying god has always been around, isnt it? something that almost seems to sprout out of nothingness and in turn makes everything. the only differece is that the elements are real, right?

Do you know there are not now, nor will there ever be, a catholic or protestant persecuted for observing their beliefs? In John 15 verse 20 Jesus said that they had persecuted Him and they will persecute us. How do we square these scriptures with the reality we live? In john 8 verse 40 Jesus told the people that they wanted to kill Him for telling the truth. In John 8 verses 58 & 59 they were going to stone Him for saying that He was "I am". They knew from Exodus 3 verse 14 who that was. And now, because someone points out and PROVES the Sabbath, who's being persecuted? Sunday observers?

Living a lie makes your whole life a big joke. If god is just a fairy tale, how stupid could you feel? Is that why you have faith? You force yourself to believe that god is real because you couldn't imagine being soooooo tricked. Even if you had a thought that god might be fake, you probably would just block it out of your mind for the sake of not dealing with how much you've already been fooled. If god is real, he has a lot of explaining to do. That's how atheists feel. Us atheists have less to lose because if god is real, it's not our fault that he didn't come down to show himself. If all atheist go to hell, it would probably be a nice place to live because most atheist are good people. I dont mind living around a bunch of nice people.

look at what the atheist have done to this country.They have took the prayer out of the school and they want to take god off the money and off every goverment buildng and they want to take christ out of christmas.

okay, this is one of those things that christians like to believe that really makes no sense to an atheist, so bear with me...im just trying to learn why you think the way you do.

in order to feel emotion, one must have a brain, correct? that brain can process the emotions and respond accordingly. brains are also physical matter. still with me?

now, according to christains, god does not have a physical body. well, seeing love is an emotion, emotions are formed by brains, and brains are physical matter, how can a being without a physical body possibly love anything?

as stated above, i am just trying to see why you people think how you do.

I was going to ask what you thought his favorite flavor would have been, and then I realized he is totally still alive, right? I have built this logic chain. what do you think of it (not what you think of my position but I want to know if there is a logic fault)
!. God either:
A is or
B is not
2. we can either
A know him
B not know him, which is functionally equal to1. B
3 He is
A able to communicate with us
B unable to communicate with us = 2 B
4. If we can know him He is either
A honest with us or
B dishonest which is equal to 2. B
5. He is
A able to continually maintain his truth for us
B unable to do the same which is = 2 B
6 Mankind is
A unable to confound God's ability
B able to confound God's ability Which is = 5 B


Starting with faith (either God is or he is not, our choice to believe either), I cannot see anything more plain than this. what do you think?
