I may be weighing things differently than you, but I BELIEVE the Christians are running the government pretty strongly at the moment. Yes, there has been a greater push recently for a separation of church and state, but that does not mean our country is going to hell in a hand basket. I once read a book that made a relevant point. "The laws of man are not the laws of God." Friend, the separation of church and state does NOT keep you from practicing your beliefs. It does not condemn you to a life of sin. It DOES prevent your fellow Christians from FORCING Christian beliefs onto followers of other beliefs. You are free to continue on your "righteous" path. If you go to hell, it is your own fault! Do not try to blame it on the atheists!
On another note... though I doubt I'll like the answer, which do you think is worse... a government that runs itself based on logic, or a government that declares war on others because of religious differences? I'm just curious what the answer would be.

No, this country as a whole is not going to hell. Only the unbelievers are going to hell. God gave his only son ,Jesus, so that we could have eternal life and not go to hell. what we do with that determines our fate.I am glad that prayer has been taken out of school. With some of the crazy religions that are going around this country I would hate to think that they would be taught to my child. I would rather take my child to the church that teaches the way I believe and not let her be exposed to some crazy religion that will doom her soul to hell. Christ has already been taken out of Christmas. Spiritually any way. most people have replaced the true meaning of Christmas with a materialistic, God forsaken images of snowmen and reindeer and parents are teaching their children that Christmas means gifts for them and spend more money than they can pay back to their credit card in a year. I am thankful that stuff is not my way of celebrating Christmas.

Face the facts:
1. Nobody stops "YOU" from praying in school. You can do it whenever you wish.
2. As a Christian, you probably believe that money is "EVIL", so why would you care if the word "God" was removed from it?
3. Removing "God" from government buildings won't harm "YOUR" faith, unless your faith is weak in the first place.
4. "YOU" can celebrate Christmas any way you choose. No one gives a crap how you do that.
You and the rest of your kind are just looking for an excuse to whine. Get over yourselves.

No Christ should stay in Christmas, however, we all need to remember that Christmas isn't the ONLY holiday celebrated in December. That is the issue of "Happy Holidays"
Religion has no place in our public schools or in our government. How would you feel if your children had to pledge to Satan every morning. Kinda creepy! So people who do not subscribe to christianity don't feel it is appropriate to pledge to a god that isn't there's. As a people we are cooler than that - we're more inclusive.

We live in this club, the United States of America. To stay in this club, we pay our dues (taxes), which help support the rules of the club (the US Constitution). One rule states that government property, like public schools, needs to steer clear of religion. Therefore as long as we are paying taxes to support the US, no religion in public schools. That includes prayer.
Every single person who lives in the United States of America would be thrown in a lake of fire by the Bible's God. The Bible's God, ruler of the universe, runs counter to the American Constitution. He does not support democracy (He rules;Psalms 2,89,110: the King is Yawweh's son), freedom of religion (no other gods allowed) or freedom of speech (no blasphemy). The Bible's god, many believe, will throw the majority into a lake of fire.

Christ never WAS in Christmas. It's a pagan holiday, so they're simply making it accurate with Scripture!
Jesus' birthday was September 23, 3 BCE.
Biblically known as
Tishre 15, 3998.

I have to admit, many residents of this country might go to hell. They believe that they are protecting their children But some will be saved. But if you haven't noticed, so far, they haven't gotten too far. I suggest someone says a prayer for these athiests so that when they realize they are wrong, that god will show mercy.

A country can't go to hell. Our problems can't all be blamed on athiests. I think our country would do better if Christians stopped getting mad about everything. If Christians would stop trying to legislate morality & just go about living life in a relationship with Jesus, maybe we would see some real change.

It doesn't look too good does it? God is still on the throne, and this is not surprising to Him. He wins in the end.
Try to not worry about it, as He will take care of everything. It's hard sometimes, I understand, I feel overwhelmed sometimes too, but remember that He knows and He wins!
Keep your chin up, keep looking up to Him and He'll give you peace and joy, when we look at this world, we get angry, anxious, and upset huh! Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus the Scriptures say, and you'll be alrite.
