1 6 oz box Jello
2 cups hot water
1 cup alcohol
Vodka goes with anything
try tequila with Lime or Lemon Jello
Rum with Strawberry
Vanilla vodka and a dash of coconut extract with pineapple jello
(or parrot bay rum with pineapple jello)
Have a blast

No one has mentioned the secret ingredient.
Add Knox Gelatine. This will firm them up and they will be ready a lot faster.
I also suggest going to Sams Club or Party America and getting some plastic cups with lids so you can pack them easy if you are on the go. The cups the restaurants use to put your side of sour cream or dressing in. Not the big ones though.
I personally do not like rough jello shots (ie.. tequilia, vodka, etc) these tend to be too harsh for people so there is usually leftovers.
I like using puckers or Boone's Farm(Thats right boone's @ 2 bucks a bottle) for these.
I think of jello shots as a way to keep your buzz going and to also be tasty and not make you sick.

all you need to do is pick the flavor jello you want...you make it exactly the same as you would regular jello, but you have to replace the one cup "cold water" with one cup of whatever type of liquor you want...i have found these combos to work very well..
lime jello and tequila...
cranberry jello and absolute citron (cosmo shots)...
any flavored jello with any liquor of the same flavor like raspberry jello with smirnoff raspberry twist...
something else to keep in mind...in the past when i have made the shots, they dont harden as hard as regular jello, so you may think that they arent done, but they are still good...

Follow the directions on making jello, but substitute cold liquor (I personally use rum) for the cold water, depending on how strong you want them use the whole cup of liquor, or half liquor half water.

make jello in bowl and mix in vodka or any snapps stuff...pour mixture in 1 ounce plastic cups and frigerate. done
