I'm not sure if I'm really asking here or just venting, but here is the deal.

My friend Erin is getting married soon, and her bachelorette party is supposed to be on the 30th of June in Chicago. I'm the maid of honor, but I'm not planning it, her Chicago friends are. I told her upfront that I do not have a lot of money. For instance, I have $45 in my checking account today.

I was always taught that when you are INVITED to a party, it is rude for a host to ask you money. When you are co-planning the party and all agree beforehand that is ok.

So today I get an email from these people saying that it is $58 to pay for my part of a hotel (already booked) and $10 for a shirt (already ordered). In addition, they will be looking for a gift for Erin, so I'll be expected to chip in for that too.

I just feel like I want to cry because I so do not have the money for this, and I had no idea that I would need it. I just don't have this money and I cant just not go. :-(

Image that the electric (fully electric, not a hybrid) car was available today. Let's assume that it is well-priced and performs as well or better than cars on the market today. In addition, for the purpose of this question let's assume that it charges quickly and that there are are charging stations around the country, like gas stations where you pay to charge. Would you purchase an electric car? Why or why not?

And if so..Why? Don't you think Jesus got the worst of that when he was around? And the Bible does say an eye for an eye, but then it also says Leave wrath up to god....and the latter is in the New Testament...so explain.

What are some examples of prophecies fulfilled that had been predicted by the Bible?

Once was a Christian, and now I see it VERY hard to believe that the Bible is in fact not a story, and Jesus did walk on water, turn water to wine, etc.

I have an understanding through Sciene/Physics/Quantum Mechanics that explain a lot of natural phenomena, such as Quantum Tunneling, etc. and find it very hard to swallow God made everything so extremely complicated.

Any words?
