Each and every individual has a purpose in life. Each person's purpose is individual. You cannot say that every individual's purpose is to simply 'honor God' or 'do the best I can'

This is what makes us individual. Though we are God's children we cannot assume that we could all sit in our closets and honor Him, waste away, and wait to die. What a joke. What a verbal regurgitation. It's so sad to hear Christians vomit childhood teachings.

Our purpose in life is to find our purpose in life, then do it with all our might.

Everyone has a purpose in life, be it important, or just to offer support to those who become great. For example, Ben Carson, the Baltimore brain surgeon has saved many lives, but was a below average student. His mother stayed with him and helped him learn, and he is now famous for his knowledge. Who is more important, Dr. Carson, or his mother? People say that life isn't fair, and that's true, but people like that might be needed, to help out friends or family that have the purpose of becoming great.

I totally believe that each and every one of us is here for a specific reason. One day I started thinking about it, and I came up with this . . .
What if the whole reason you came into existence on this earth at this particular time was to walk down the street one day, and smile at some random person, making his day brighter so that HE could go on and come up with the cure for cancer.
At first I found it rather depressing that my purpose on this planet could be so trivial, but would the cure for cancer have come about at all if it wasn't for my random gesture of kindness? Who knows?
The point is that nothing happens without a reason, and you never meet anyone you're not supposed to. There is a lesson in everything, you just have to want to learn it. That is what I believe is the true purpose of life on earth. I think Heaven is a retirement home for souls whose Karma is good enough. I think our souls sit in a classroom of sorts, with perhaps God as our teacher. We have a list of maybe 100 things we have to 'study' for, things like honesty, humility, compassion, and so on. So our souls, the highest and purest form of ourselves, look at the checklist and choose what we are to learn from each life. Once every lesson has been learned, you 'retire.'
Sorry, I must have taken my abstract pills today instead of my relevant ones. :)

Life's perpose is to live, have fun, and honor everyone around you including your self. Live each day to the fullest, because at some point it will be your last. Why? Because we are all dying for the second we are born and that is why it's so important to live. If you want more answers read the book Petey by Ben Michealson, it touches the heart.
