First of all that's a big He?? no in my book. Do she know that, that child as to eat be burped and the diaper has to be changed. You need to sit down and talk to your daughter and ask her what he?? is wrong with her for leaving a 3 month old by itself. Anything could happen like some could find out and call CPS on her, the baby could be kidnapped, or just say the house caught on fire what would she tell the police when they ask why did she leave the baby in there anyway. Then she would be going to prison for murder even though it wasn't fault which in this case it would be her fault. Your daughter would then spend the rest of her life in prison so, ask her is it worth it. Also, tell her to get a sitter to avoid all of the mess that could happen, and if she loves her child like she say she do she would get a babysitter. Good Luck?????????????????

That is classified as a severely punishable act, Not for one minute should a baby be left alone ...If She cannot provide proper care for this little one perhaps adoption would be better.......Babies should never be left alone without responsible adult supervision... If Your Daughter is even pondering this act , it is a great big red flag of deep concern....An act of negligence, anything could happen ....If She is already leaving Her baby unattended then child services should be notified immediately...A baby is not a puppy...A Mother should always think of Her child's well being first....It would more wise that your grandchild stay with you while your Daughter goes to work!

Ok so your daughter wants to leave the baby in the car while she shops & at home while she works....who's raising this kid, when does it get fed & its diaper changed & interact with a parent? The child would be better off if she was put up for adoption. Kids should be cared for and nurtured and loved, not abandoned. That is not love, that is cruel.

Look, Know It All, or whatever your name is, your really not serious are you? Your just one of them out there playing on yahoo questions and answers. I answered your stupid question, I believe yesterday about leaving the infant in the car while your daughter goes into the mall and goes shopping. I know your just playing us.
Get a life and grow up!!!!! You have got to be one of the most immature grandmothers I have ever encountered.
Are you sure your from this planet? Why are you asking such stupid, moronic questions?
I hope the police come and arrest you and your ignorant daughter. She doesn't deserve the baby and neither do you.
Adios, idiota!!!!!!!!

I honestly cannot believe a mother would ask a question like that to start with. Did you leave your daughter at home alone at that age? Is there a really good reason you would be asking this?

wow between leaving the 3 month old in the car and leaving her home alone you both should be reported for child abuse...
if you really don't know
or if you're trying to find a way to report your daughter without looking bad maybe you should be there helping her instead of condemning her

She can't. Leaving a 3 month old baby home alone is a textbook example of child neglect.

if by alone you mean with another responsable adult, I say a full shift would be fine... if alone you mean in solitude surrounded by gallons of bleach, rat poison, insecticide, antifreeze, a full butcher set, plastic bags, electrical outlets, a filled kiddy pool, and basically most certain doom, I say she'll be fine for 2 or 3 seconds. The baby can't really walk or crawl for another 6 to 8 months, but its amazing how things spontaniously leap into baby's arms.
P.S. I don't think your name should be 'knowsitall'... you're clearly an idiot.

A child can not be left alone period. Numerous things could happen such as choking, house on fire anything! I would have to question the daughter's ability to even raise a child if she feels it's okay to leave her infant. CPS needs to be contacted immediately to protect that baby before lifelong regrets happen.

In my home state, state law requires children to be 12 years old before they are left alone, and then they can be left alone for 4 hours only. A 3 month old, well, that's a no-brainer - DON'T DO IT!
