answer: person who submits themselves to God.
So, if you are reading the Koran, exchange the english definition for the following words. Allah (God) muslim ( sumbmission to God).
There are others, but the muslims key their whole Allah is true because the Koran uses these words, and these words mean God, etc..
Lets look at 3:52, here is a gross misuse of the words for their gain.
Koran english translation " Bear witness that we are muslims"
the disciple pledging their alliance to Jesus.
Now use it in the completed english translation:
"Bear witness that we submit ourself to God."
Now, I will accept muslim as a way to get people use to seeing Arabic words or whatever, but to base an arguement that this is the reason the koran is the word of "God" is ludacrous.
Also, the language they would have spoken would have been Aramaic. Not arabic. Arabic wasnt a language until 400 + years later.
The earliest Arabic written document is written in 512 AD, ...
