If someone is joking around and says something that shouldn't be offensive, I take it to heart and think about it long after the conversation ends. This indicates a lot of things about my personality, but in short, I'd like to learn how to let such comments roll off my back.

It's actually similar to how some girls react. If a girl is insulted, they might end up crying and sharing the pain with her closest friends. That's exactly what I would do, and being in an all-boy's school doesn't really help, because things as simple as name-calling can make me feel belittled and inferior. This of course is seldom the case. In short, I just need to learn how to take things lightly. I'd like some advice, if you have any.

I'd also like to teach my kids (should I have any down the road) how to be less sensitive to bullying against them and more sensitive to the emotions of others.

I know neither is favorable. But if you had the power to eject people who cannot accept the religious views of others -or- those who cannot accept the political views of others from Society, who would go?

I recently had a discussion in class regarding experiences that have led to a greater understanding of social justice and equality, and it has interested me to ask the question:

What sort of experiences have people had to develop a greater understanding of equality and social justice, that is where individuals and groups recieve fair treatment and a just share of the benefits of society. Any thoughts / experiences?

Please list at least five reasons why you swear. If you are one of those people who swear to be cool, please stop hurting others and yourself, don't you know how much it hurts?! Please answer this question, I really want to know why people even do it.

If anything, you'd think having less money would make them more moral. And I think that's how it even was in the old days. But today? And how does money affect morality anyway?

A woman in my college classes was rude to me. So I sent her an e-mail to find out why? Apparently I am loud, overbearing, and I give too much information that apparently nobody wants to hear about. My question is, now that I am aware of this, how do I go about changing myself. I don't like the fact that I drive people away. I am a nice, thoughtful, and a loving person. I am a good mother, I make good grades, in general a decent human being. I raise money for charities, I help elderly people, I like to make people feel good about themselves. But how do I teach myself to keep my big yap shut when I should just be listening?

Keep in mind now, I am in a pretty fragile state of mind right now. And you would be the scum of the earth for kicking me while I'm down...

I dont understand how people can get so caught up in their religion that they refuse to accept the beleifs of anyone else. I mean when it comes down to it, we all know NOTHING. The whole religious stories and wutnot are mere myths. How is it that we undoubtfully beleive the story of Adam and Eve and the snake as the TRUTH but we dont beleive in Cinderella. I mean we don't know! So wuts the point of the billion religions out there- all so different and contradicting? It makes no sense to me.

Because if I say too little, then perhaps I was less helpful, but if I say too much, then perhaps I insulted his/her intelligence.

(BTW I couldn't figure out a better category for this.)
