i admit i swear and sometimes don''t have to but sometimes it helps emphasize what your are trying to say. Not only that, sometimes it is the only way to get people to stop and pay attention to what you have to say regardless if they like swearing or not. Then again it could just be habit (a bad one) but it s still a habit. If you hear it growing up you tend to imitate what you hear and continue with it as you get old. Last reason..... is just because u can and u want to its just the way you are. If others don't like it then they need to keep company that doesn't swear and watch children programs.

I swear when I am mad about something, when I spill my cup all over and get everything wet and since I am clumsy I swear a lot about spilling my drink and having to clean it up. I swear when I see something stupid on TV, I swear when people go out of their way to hurt me. I swear because Joss Whedon really ****** up with the way he ended the series Angel. I don't swear at people so I have no clue who I am hurting.

I swear when:
1) I get angry at what someone did/said
2) When I'm trying to emphasize a point I'm making
3) When the person who I've hanged out with all day swears and I've naturally picked it up for the rest of that day.
Can't think of any more

I do swear on occasion. Mostly when I am really really angry and I need to express myself and can't find enough words to express them with. I read some where that people who swear a lot has a poor vocabulary. I suppose I fit in this category.

I think people generally swear because they lack to the vocabulary to express what they are trying to say. I cannot list five but that is why I swear sometimes. I think only children and teens swear because it is cool. I think most mature people dont want to swear and only do it out of habit and loss of words.

People swear because it has become socially acceptable to do so.
I used to swear with abandon about 20 years ago, but I stopped when I realized that swearing only served to show people how ignorant I was.
People who swear only serve to truly show their lack of intelligence in a normally intelligent conversation.
