what is the pay like?

2007-09-24 07:21:44 · 10 answers · asked by Anonymous

I had feelings for this person and so I let them borrow money for a house payment cause I cared about the situation. She didn't pay me back for six months and so I decided to write it off as a gift. Later, I found out she let someone else borrow a small amount money from her during the six months. I kept it inside of me for awhile but we were hanging out in an electronic store and she mentioned that she was looking to buy an expensive video game system for her daughter.

I finally snapped. I told her I felt like she was taking advantage of me and she cussed me out and shut me out of her life. She threw the fact that I had feelings for her in my face and that is the reason she hates me is because I kept trying to be more than friends with her and that I don't just "shut the eff up".

I tried talking to her about my feelings for three weeks. She now "hates" me. I felt I was right and wanted an apology. Instead she sends me $50 bi-weekly and gives silence treatment.

there are so may things. i have big lips. which only goet bigger 4 yrs ago. ever since i've felt sooo self conscious. my mother constatnly calls me out on it too. then ppl make rude comments or stare at me funny. i didn't realize that something like that really could affect me this way. sometimes i feel like no one understands or thr ppl who i thought did don't. i'm having thoughts on getting plastic surgery. my bestfriend thinks its not neccessary. but she's not me so she has no idea how TROUBLED i really am. sometimes i feel hopeless and thoughts of killing myself come in my head. telling me to love myself is not working or else i wouldn't complain. i feel as if i'm never gonna get over these feelings. i am always self conscious! i wish i could like me for me completely instead of temporarily. i'm thinking of going to see a therapist. this seems more than just a teenage phase. some days i wanna go crazy on the inside. i see no point in being around

Is this falling in love think USUALLY and I dont mean ALWAYS but just usually a mutual feeling? I mean if a guy is falling for a girl, is it usually the case that she also is falling for him? There must be a vibe/chemistry before someone starts having the feelings right? Personal experiences really appreciated!!

Guys, do you lose respect for a girl who....?

you had sex with (but you didn't really get much out of it because it was her first time and she was in pain) but when you ask her to do it again, she said no and wouldn't not budge no matter how many temper tantrums you had? Would you lose respect for that girl?

Let me start by saying that this is not a joke. There is a man in his late 40’s that works at a store that I purchase from a couple of times a week. Several weeks ago while I was standing in line, he decided to tell me that he is in the process of undergoing a sex change operation to change from a man to a woman. I don’t know why he felt he needed to tell me this, but he did. I’m a tolerant person, so I just listened. For the next few weeks he would tell me things about this process while I would stand in line.

Then, he looked up my personal phone number in the business’s computer system and called me. He called and started talking about the operation, hormones, etc. I was kinda stunned at the time, so I listened for ten minutes without getting a word in edgewise. I found a polite way to end the phone call and then tried to forget about it. Several days later I got an email with pictures of him dressed up like a woman.

Everyone keeps telling me that I am not committed to myself. I don't know what I want in life according to others.

How do you become committed to yourself and why am I having so much trouble doing it?

what is your opinion? does adolescence mean a period of crisis and struggle or is it a relatively normal stage of human development and may be a period of crisis depending on the person's history and how his parents treated him and raised him?

Ok I have a question related to memory...I read in "Im ok -- You're ok" that you don't ever actually "forget" anything that you pay conscious attention to, rather it's like everything you pay attention to gets "recorded" and stored in your brain from birth and the difficulty is whether or not you are actually able to recall it. However, my psychology professor disagrees with this and after asking him, he disagreed saying we do forget plenty all the time. Obviously for exam purposes I'm going to have to take the professors word for it, but does anyone know which is correct? Or even more importantly, have links or citation to any actual experiments that prove the validity of either assertion?

Come to your house and cut off your TV, throw away your magazines and inspire you to publish a t-shirt? I don't get it. What is media therapy? I don't feel like "googling" it. Maybe I need media therapy.

One day you are telling someone that they mean everything to you and you are sorry you put them through so much and that you have been selfish in an effort of trying to protect your feelings and you want to be better and are going to be better about it. You are tired of the constant worrying and little fights over the last week. So you go out with someone act distant and moody and it causes more anxiety and another bickering session comes from that so you don't call or show up to something the next day that you promised you would. You don't even call to say you are not coming. You leave a bunch of people hanging. What are you trying to prove by all this?

In case you were wondering - we never fought until the last week or so - so this has been a change in events...

Needless to say, I don't fare too well at parties, since I don't go too much for idle chitchat. Instead, I like to get into intense conversations about subjects that interest me or else discuss some sort of deep emotional issue. In fact, one of the reasons why I like Y!A so much is because I get to discuss stuff here that I can't discuss with most people outside of the computer. Does anyone else here feel the same way?

One day while talking to my sister-in-law over the phone, I was giving her my viewpoint regarding the state of conflicting religions in the world and that we need to be sure to keep religion out of the political sphere and not mix the two. She is devoutly christian and took issue with me saying that this is a christian nation and that we have gotten away from it and need to go back to being so. After a bit, I told her that she was being naive. She got upset thinking I had called her stupid. I told her that I am naive/stupid about many things in life and that is so for us all and that there was no need to be upset. That was some three months ago and she won't speak to me now. I don't feel bad about this issue and really don't want to appologize for it is my contention that she needs to just deal with it...get a life as they say. How might you see this differently?

I work at a convenience store and we have a lot of regular customers. I recognize some of them, but I don't others, and they get really irritated when I card them for beer and tobacco everytime they come in, because they think I should automatically recognize them and remember that they're of legal age. What can I say, though? A lot of these people are really nondescript!
