If you look at most of the trouble with society today you can do a chart and see in the late 60's when most of family values started to decline, that's the period in time when women's lib started and in stead of staying home and taking care of the family and house most women wanted to act like men and have (a career).
It's said that now day's both parents have to work, NO the reason they both have to work is the additional vehicle(usually a SUV) all the work clothes, shoes, etc. not to mention the big house you have to have! So now instead of our kids coming home to mom, they are coming home to a baby sitter, doing homework later and my dinner is usually late!
I hope this helped!

I have noticed the identity of women changing in radical ways over the past 40 years.
Now, women have separate identities from each other. (Whereas before, they were pooled into a group and labeling them the same.)
Today's woman (girl) is representative of herself, not her gender. She is more confident and savvy, more stylish and chic, certainly smarter and resourceful than ever.
There is no platform difference between men and women any more. All people are finally at a level playing field, through legal and national support and all people's voices are to be heard. That voice, that vote and that person that was once thought of as a "stay at home mom" now takes charge of offices, companies, firms, churches, schools and municipalities.
You can see the identity of women today in their chutzpah (guts) and assertiveness. Women run much of the country and by their own achievement and wisdom, I might add.
How can we identify a women today? By her name, title, occupation and character...just like a person.
No more Mrs. Cleaver to kick around!

I think American women have become very artificial. When I think of an American "idol" as far as women go, I think of someone who has had botox treatments and breast enhancement. She wears expensive clothing and spike heels. If she is sad, she pops a pill, if she is glad, she pops a pill, if she wants to go to sleep, she pops a pill. The young people I run into in the grocery store can't read or write or make change. I was trying to wire money to my daughter in the Ukraine, and the young girl told me there was no such state as Ukraine. All conversations begin with "like, you know". She drives a car, while talking on the cell phone and eating MacDonald's big mac. She'll pay thousands of dollars to join a gym but wouldn't think of walking up the steps, instead of taking the elevator.

Well 40 years ago what we wore to school was different than today. Girls wore dresses or skirts and blouses. No jeans were allowed. The courses that were considered boys subjects girls could not take. Courses like wood shop or mechanical drawing. But then boys could not take sewing or cooking classes.

Until the feminist movement began in the 60s, women ran the world. ( or at least the US)
Presidents and leaders of industry consulted their wives, before they made decisions, quite often taking their advise.
After feminism started women were percieved as "uppity" and no longer paid attention to....

Girls of this decade are... Bootilicious. They got attitude and spunk and will hurt you. No one wants to make a hiphop chick angry. And no one wants to make an emo, goth, or punk girl angry either. They all can get quite scary. The only girl that hasen't changed much is the christian girl. Even she is stronger and more independent. Girls are learning to take care of themselves. Go girls!

I think women have moved from the stay-at-home, June Cleaver image to the working mom, the professional mom, the juggle everything at once mom and/or woman. Women have expanded their horizons to include being soldiers, police officers, professionals, single moms, etc etc.

basics remain the same yet roles have changed, self-esteem and body image is still an issue, takes longer to get rid of centuries of thinking a certain way.

MOST NOT ALL:
women have become whores. they disrespect themselves as well as others. before women respected relationships, now they are willing to divide them. women cause problems in others relationships constantly, they dont understand the meaning of a relationship.
they dress to attract men in "showy" ways. theyre ok with sleeping with a man on the first day of meeting him.
i could keep on but thats the basics
