I have never been a fan of boxes, and normally refuse to get in them. Society has a way of wanting to categorize people. As a kid, I confounded some of my classmates because they didn't know weather I was a "kicker", a "prep", or any of the other cliquey steriotypes. I am the same way, now. I could be considered a conservative, because I usually vote Republican, and agree with Republicans on a lot of things, yet I have a deep love of the earth, my fellow human beings, and feel that compassion should always be a factor in decisions, things that some would say make me a liberal. I could be called a feminist because I believe women and men are equals, and should both be treated with respect, yet some might not think I am b/c I don't believe in putting one gender down to raise another up. Men and women are both beutiful, and I don't feel oppressed by my husband (ok, most of the time, lol). Do we have to fit into boxes? If not, what is left to define who we are?
