You know how they say so and so died of a broken heart...or that empty feeling you get in your chest when you lose someone you love?
Is there some sort of an effect on your heart......physical or chemical effects or is it something else going on inside your body?

I am having an argument with my friend about whether it is good to think positive or to think negative. He thinks that thinking negatively prepares you for the worst, but I think thinking positive makes you happy!

1) A two day road trip, and being cramped in a car tightly.
2) To have to live with the person you hate the most for a year.
3) No to be successful at getting a girlfriend/boyfriend.
4) To apply for a supermarket job 5 times, and never given an interview.

All of the would annoy me, but I want to see what others think.

When I met my husband s.s. was 4 years old. We have never really had the money for a lawyer so we were stuck with a really lousy custody arrangement for a long time. When we would have s.s. for a weekend, and were getting ready to take him back to his Mom and Grandma, he would literally tremble with fear and beg us not to take him back. This tore our hearts out, but we had no choice. Finally my Mom paid for us to get a lawyer a year ago or so, and really just having the lawyer and the ability to fight is all we needed, b/c we told her we had enough on her (abuse, her and her familiy's police records, ect..), to not only win but humiliate her in court, so convinced her it was better to sign, and she did, but not before telling her son (yet again) that she wanted nothing more to do with him bc he said he wanted to be with us. She still has visits, and talks to him on phone occasionally, and she will mess w/ his mind. She tells him "pencil pushers" are not real men, when we try to

i have a hard time talking face to face about issue sthat have emotional attatchments to me - even with my husband. I'm trying to talk about some relationship issues but i get so afraid and nervous i can not speak- i had to write a letter to him about my feelings. I'm a very reflective thinker , i have to sit and sort out my expressions and when i fight or get stressed i emtionally go into a daze and can't concentrate of think clearly. When its a big issue that's emotioanl or stressful i can't even remember the conversation with accurate detail afterwards. What can i do? any one know what's going on with this?

My friends and I were discussing this and you know that desperate anxiety you get with a hangover....after a hard night of drinking.... that feeling when you're rattling and feel like you've done something awful or forgotten to do something....even if you haven't.....can't really expalin it we just call it 'The Fear' if you've had it you'll know what I mean...

But we're not sure if it's only women who get it...any men experienced the same thing??

I was at the Calgary stampede chuckwagon races this past weekend when one of the drivers colided with another team which resulted in the death of 3 of his horses. I feel absolutely sick about the poor horses even though the driver is in stable but critical condition in hospital. Why is it that people tend to symathize with animals more than human beings?

Can the electrical charges in your brain be affected by the relentless closeness of another's. Say sleeping next to someone night after night. Have I thought this up all by my lonesome or has this been studied already? You know how gals' periods all come at the same time when they work or live together.

This is so hard for me
To find the words to say
My thoughts are standing still

Captive inside of me
All emotions start to hide
And nothing's getting through

Watch me
Fading
I'm losing
All my instincts
Falling into darkness

Tear down these walls for me
Stop me from going under
You are the only one who knows
I'm holding back

It's not too late for me
To keep from sinking further
I'm trying to find my way out
Tear down these walls for me now

So much uncertainty
I don't like this feeling
I'm sinking like a stone

Each time I try to speak
There's a voice I'm hearing
And it changes everything

Watch me
Crawl from
The wreckage
Of my silence
Conversation
Failing

As in, why do we cry? - because we are stressed or upset, but what good does it do? Why show it through the eyes and not somewhere else? Why do we produce more tears when we are upset? Does it help in anyway?

Why do I keep seeing these stupid polls by journalist's incuding yahoo taking polls of black's and white's of who want's him to break the record. Let's look at the facts blacks favorite sports in order are 1.basketball 2.football 3.baseball whites 1.baseball 2. football 3. basketball. I being white and a huge baseball fan don't like barry bonds at all becuse of his me first attitude and the fact that any idot with half a brain know's he did steroids. If this was Ken Griffey jr about to break the record I'm sure there would'nt even be a disscuion of race since white people who watch baseball appreciate hard work and dedication not cheating. Plus add to the fact the record is held by a black man that white people respected due to his hard work I think these polls are just a way to pull out the race card agian. If this was a basketball record with a white person about to break a black man's record how do u think those polls would fair then. Which shows the stupidity of this society.

I am inherently arrogant, it is embarrassing, but I naturally think all girls willl be attracted to me. Sounds pretty cocky, right? I can't help and it makes me really smug and crap and I was just wondering if anyone had a similar experience?
