I don't see why these have to be separate, competing things. I think when people are in love they start acting romantic without really even trying. Romance does not necessarily have to be something elaborate or expensive, sometimes it's just the little things you do or say to one another, like writing a note saying "I love you" or taking a walk alone the beach holding hards.

But if you just aren't a romantic type of person, be yourself. Be caring and loving, but don't be anything you're not.

I guess it has to be a mixture of both. Because when you're in love you have to be sort of romantic to make that special person feel more special to be with you and real because you cant take a person out if you don't have money for that to happen... and sadly, money is a real thing in life.
