Of course they do. Most of what we dream is just images, and our brains out the images and sounds together to make some sort of sense to us, like a movie (not that they always do, but you know what I mean). Blind people may not be able to see, but they can sense light, and they have adapted their own ways for forming images in their minds, and are able to associate them to what they believe they would be "seeing". Best to ask someone who is blind, I am sure they would appreciate your interest and would be more than happy to explain this topic to you.

Yes, blind people do dream!!
. What they see in their dreams depends on how much they could ever see. If someone has been totally blind since birth, they only have auditory dreams.
However, those blind since birth or very early childhood have no visual imagery in their dreams. Instead, they experience a very high percentage of taste, smell, and touch sensations in their dreams.
The breakdown is as follows:
There are no visual images in the dreams of those born without any ability to experience visual imagery in waking life.
Individuals who become blind before the age of five seldom experience visual imagery in their dreams.
Those who become sightless between the ages of five and seven may or may not retain some visual imagery.
Most people who lost their vision after age seven continue to experience at least some visual imagery, although its frequency and clarity often fade with time.
it is a testimony to the highly visual nature of most people's dreams that this question gets asked. For a paper that provides information on the dreams of one group of blind people, along with references to most of the literature on blind people and dreams

I'm not blind but i couldn't imagine as to why they couldn't dream. because when you dream you aren't physically seeing something, you are just proccessing thoughts and ideas throught your head and it can make kinda of a story. and blind people are able to think so they can dream.
I just looked this up, they can dream about whatever they know, but if they were always blind they won't be able to see anything in their dream, they can only hear. if they have gone blind at some point in their life, they can only see things in their dreams that they have seen when they weren't blind. So to sum this up, If a blind person has never seen a dog they can't see a dog in their dream but may be able to hear it. if they have seen a cat howeverm, they can see it in their dream because their mind can remember the image.

Yes blind people dream, because a lot of people went blind throughout their life. Maybe it's the last time they saw their lovers face before going blind :*)

I think blind people see the same images as we do when we dream. The difference is, when they wake up, they are blind and when we wake up we can see.
When we close our eyes and fall asleep we dream. I guess it's the same difference.

Why do people keep asking this question? Why is it so fascinating? Let me ask you this: when you dream, do you dream of all the smells that a dog can smell? No? Why not? Because it's not in your experience. People dream of whatever is in their experience. If people don't experience sight, they don't dream of it. Blind people have dreams with the other senses: hearing, smell, taste, touch, and balance.

the only disablility blind ppl have is that they can't see with their eyes... it really depends.. SOME blind people can only see the shape of certain things, no color... some blind people can see black and black only with their eyes... thats much it...
