I think it means that life is a long and difficult road. Family are the roses with the thorns. They hurt you, they give you problems, but they also love you. The roses with the thorns give the most joy.

I believe that statement to be false...Even friendship has thorns,
and those who claim different are not true friendships...To me the only rose without thorns is unconditional love...=)

Rose, a thing to express the rare beauty of love and life.
Friends the only ones to express the true meaning of love and life.
Rose, with rare beauty of love and life.. its delicate and requires protection with thorns..
Friends are like roses.. they don't need thorns when they themselves have other friends to be their thorns.
LOVE, and, FRIENDSHIP.
