Do you know or have you lost your direction?

All great answers so I feel I must comment before choosing best one:
Kevlar: I can't argue with that!
Flawless: I think you've got the right idea: one step at a time but sometimes with a little bounce and sometimes a pause to check the way.
Jackie, Candy, ja1234 and d4: Sounds a wonderful way to go: where the mood takes you.
ww and sashalie: you seem to know exactly where you want to go. Hope you both enjoy the next step of the way.
Delighted: I like it: we can always change direction if we aren't happy.
liebekatz: I hope not! Can't you change directions?
Charlie: tell me what you find when you reach your destination.

i do not know, and i haven't lost my sense of direction.

this far it has taken me safely through good times and bad. i am grateful, and haven't questioned, even when the hills were steep or the way was dark. in fact the hills have provided amazing views of the valleys, and the stars in the darkness shine so brightly.

but as i've travelled further along, the pace seems to have picked up. is the destination getting near? i hope not, so much to see right here and along the way. but if it is, the end of the road is a place too, and not one to fear but to explore. sure the journey has been fun, but i'm sure a new one awaits.

I am on a road with many interesting scenarios, I have a permanent career from which I shall retire in 10 years, hopefully. I also have a new business venture which I believe is going to augment my retirement. It's a time in my life for reflection as well, and I believe I have gained enough in wisdom to hopefully pass some on to anyone who wants it. I have travel goals and my current goals as well. I have some health issues which are manageable. It's a great road, full of adventure and fun. I expect to learn more, meet many more interesting people and travel many miles "before I sleep".

What a great question, and a great place for reflection.

I am going to add this to my tool belt with my clients.

The cool thing is if you are honest about what you see you can change direction at anytime and move towards what you do want.

And inevitably as the guy above to clearly stated they will all lead to my death, but the process will be easier or harder depending on my chosen path!

Thanx for a great ?

Some would say my road leads to a dead end.

I like to believe it is a superhighway that goes on forever.
When things go wrong I could pull over and take a rest.
When I pass a lake, I could choose to go swimming.
I could speed up to catch a friend or slow down not to pass by.

This is where I want my road to go.

Mine is leading me to a stronger, smarter, happier person. I am 32, own my house, own my car, and have very little bills, but my kids are more than half way done with school, so soon I will be on my own again and getting ready to travel a new exciting road.

I hope I know that it is leading me to success and peace. Baby steps make me feel safe, at times I sprint when I feel empowered to do so, but when it is time to play it safe, baby steps, or pull off to the side to check the map.

Do I have to have a direction? cant I just meander. I see a new road...it looks nice...I go there. I see another road....has nice people on it....I go with them. I see another road....it has less bumps than the one I'm on....I go there. Im a road hopper I guess.

i don't know, actually i should not know....the only thing i know that the road i am walking on is the right one. I trust the road and myself that is why i know that i will reach the right destination and the road will never betray me.
