A slap in the head. But i would try meditation, and reading great literature. You're always gonna be an angry person, but just try and calm down a little bit.

Ask yourself this:
Why AM I extremely irritable and angry most of the time? When you have the answer to that do something about the things you can and for those things you can't - or maybe have no business being angry over so could work on acceptance that you might be making a mountain out of a mole hill.
There is also the option of exercise and adding some interest to your life such as a hobby, camping, invitation to family, go visiting, fishing, library, home project, detail your car, local outdoor activities, an online class...etc U know U.

Of course, the best thing is to see a Psycologist because there's so much we don't know about our anger. But there's a lot of therapy in writing. Even if u don't know what to write, do it anyway. Write about what sets u off and think of why. Start with once a day if it's too awful. Try writing a letter to God. It's very difficult because u know u can't b/s. There's also mild anti-depressants that ur Dr can give u. You'll notice a difference in u...not bad, just different but will feel a calmness right away not a hi. U take these & the things that used to bug u just don't anymore, including yourself. It feels so good because u won't be blowing up at anyone or without warning. There's also some anti-stress vitamins u can buy w/out a scrip. With this calm, u can work through ur anger with a more objective view and maybe u can get someone to be ur sounding board. You can email me if u want & I'll give u some feedback.

Until you understand WHY you are angry and irritable, any action taken would just be a random attempt.
Meditation won't do if it's a neurological problem, just as you wouldn't take mood altering drugs if its just work stress. If your car isn't running, you don't change the oil and hope that works, right?
Is is stress? (hectic life) Is it conflict with someone else? (enemy) Are you angry without conscious reason? (possibly neurological)
So, first try and figure out the "why" so you know "how" to attack it effectively. That, or just try every solution offered and hope something sticks.

Hi Intro, Go out and mow your yard and then take a drink break and then go jogging to relief so more of your stress. Just keep yourself busy and this will help you a lot. One more thing this is not being smart. Have sex with your partner and this will relief what ever is bothering you. Really it will you burn up a lot of energy when having sex.

there are many ways to help yourself:
- count till five before take action(s) or do or say something
- separate yourself from your body, take a step aside and observe yourself from a side and try to understand why, what you already do, otherwise you wouldn't be asking yourself the question...
try them
let me know how it did go

Exercise helps me. Runs all sorts of chemicals through your system and somehow levels it all out.
