how does the mind use it's innate behaviors to function

The information received through
senses is first processed by unconscious mind (Ahamkara) because it is connected with survival,
self-defense and "Fight-or- Flight mechanism". Then it will be processed by sub-conscious mind
(Chitta) to analyze minor details.
Then it will be processed by
conscious mind (Manas) to compare
with previous knowledge. Then
intellect (Buddhi) will take a decision
depending on the situation.
