I went on a course about leadership. Now I have to pick a goal (related to career development) for the next six months that coaching will help me achieve. My problem is that I can't think of a single thing that I could possibly need these people's help with!

If I want something I work out how to get it and then go and do those things, unless I decide that it's too much effort compared to how much I want the end result. So what is coaching supposed to do? What am I not "getting"?

I asked but got a patronising, smug answer that didn't address my point but was "cleverly" designed so that I had to shut up and smile or risk looking like a cynical, negative, BAD person. (They know I have to be seen by my employer to be enthused by all this since it's costing them money.) I guess the coach doesn't care if I get nothing out of this, as long as she can stop me from saying so!

Can I benefit from these sessions in a way that I am not seeing at the moment? How should I approach them?

We all have some sense of "something more." Some force which exists all around us at all times which is inherently interactive in everything which exists. This "force" has not been verified, but it's coherent bind within us all leads us psychologically to personify it via the concept of God.

Is the concept of God merely a psychological mark for some interconnectef force in the universe?

Some people say their thoughts have levels: surface, subsurface, elevated
Some say they see words as numbers or numbers as words
Some say words and/or numbers have colors, or colors and images
My thoughts seem to be level-less or unilevelular, are mostly in words (including numbers) or are in images
How about you?
Do your thoughts have qualities?
How would you characterize your thoughts as to basic attributes?
Touchy-feely?
Are colors prominent? Do yoo see words, letters or numbers in color?
Do your thoughts have levels?
Do they have other attributes: weighty, gloomy, bubbly
Do they have lighjt qualities?
Some other qualities?
Do they have tastes or smells (sensory mix of some kind)???

Please make a serious effort, no jokesters.

Want to find out what exists, see if I am missing out on something, see what common denominator may be, if there are a few definite categories, whatever....

I am writing a paper for college, on the subject of self enslavement. I would like to know what others think of the title. I would like for it to be on the mental format. Meaning, why do people limit themselves mentally, what are they afraid of learning. It is so hard for someone to think outside of the box. Also, that there are more colors in the world than black, white and gray. Why is so hard for people to open their mind and see the other colors of the world. Thank you for all of your opinions.

this may seem dumb but, had a dream the other day that i was being pulled over by the cops for speeding so i stopped and the cop came to my window and asked what speed i was doing so i said 112 when i on p's only suppose to do 90km but dont remember what else the cop said. the next thing i remember was i was still stopped the cop was gone and this dude in a red car pulled up along side me and got out he was very dark skinned (have nothing against dark people) but it scared the crap out of me and i drove off as quick as possible then i think he followed me. thats all i remember but i was real freaked. so what do you think???

I have noticed that my friend’s ex-girlfriend is spiteful. She becomes angry and is argumentative. She would bring up his past—either the good or bad events but will come to a conclusion and explain how it was “his fault.” Positive traits about him are forgotten. And one thing she does also is make it seems as if now everything is better without him. Once you become an ex-lover it is like your marked “loser” and the person becomes mean—doing everything they can do make your life miserable. Why are ex-lovers spiteful?

what do you think we can do to improve things for the american mother? i have always felt like people look down on mothers in our culture. sometimes i wonder if thats why people get abortions and dont want to be moms. mothers are not revered. people always assume young mothers want welfare and to eat potatoe chips all day. on the television, i feel they are portrayed as haggard and fat and like their lives are passing by and they long to do other things than to be trapped into being a mother. i have never felt mothers were are respected as i see them being respected in other cultures. however i am happy that a lot of actresses are having babies and still maintaining their careers. thats a positive. what do you think? what do you think we can do to improve things for the american mother?

I've also encountered pres. Bush in my dreams and I think even Churchill.

Brain in a vat (BIV) scenario: Could it be I live in a Matrix-like world, and my brain sits in a vat of juice, and there's some mad scientist poking at different areas of my brain?

I think there is a God, BUT if I ever wake up, all that there is, is just a smiling mad scientist/chemicals and neurons?

Is this all an illusion? How do I figure out if this idea of mine of an illusory world is true or false? (You can argue there are no true ideas in an illusory world, but I beg to differ: the mad scientist can inject that true idea in me.)

My answer: It seems I can never know whether brain-in-a-vat existence is true until if I wake up one day and realize that I was, indeed, living a BIV existence.

Thus, how do I live life, in this stage of not knowing?

Everything I thought true I don't know anymore. I'm caught between a life as I've always known it (including my belief in the Christian God) and the persistent, gnawing doubt of global skepticism that I can't get rid of.

Is it normal to be stressed when starting a new job? Such as learning the new job, new people, new environment, getting used to new routine, and feeling overwhelmed? These kind of things are making me wanting to get quit, but it probably would be wrong move.
I was wondering if others ever go though this kind of stress and how they dealt with it.

I think Self-Worth is one of mankind's deepest needs and for many, (or perhaps all) is a lifelong journey. As life moves on we begin to realize more and more exactly what our Self-Worth is.

Now, I am not a psychology expert, but could Self-Worth be equated with Self-Actualization as Abraham Maslow's Heiarchy of Needs?
