If suddenly scientists...say in caltech, cuz they are doing experiments in neural modelling...invent a device that connects to your brain, and you can 'see' how others solve problems...say math geniuses solve math problems, rubics geniuses solve the rubics cube...and you instantly 'seeing' HOW really they do it....thus learning instantly... If things like going to the office become only through virtual worlds...where you go to office virtually and then 'wake' up in your home--if you could get food sensations (and just eat a pill) and sex-yeia, and thrill rides....through 'neural injections' ? (there is a study in caltech that explains how a computer sends to the remote 'human' sensor, information of an object...say, a baseball moving in the air...and the person can not only 'feel' the object with touch....but 'sense' its motion...kind of like telepathically 'sensing' the object) How would this have implications for mankind? The economy? Goverment? The life process? reproduction?food?

See, I could answer this question myself, but I need some help from both sexes. I'm a little socially awkward, I guess--I have a bf, but I've never had TOO much experience with guys as "the opposite sex". To me, guys are just like girls--I've always tried to befriend and treat everyone equally, regardless of gender.

But I've been second-guessing myself lately because sometimes my friendliness (and honestly, it really is just me being friendly) winds up in trouble. One time a guy spread rumors about me to another male friend that I had a crush on him, and so that friend chose to avoid me from that point. I had that happen to another guy as well.

Recently, I have felt weird around another acquaintance because I don't know how to act around him and don't want him to think I have a crush on him. I guess I'm just second-guessing my actions all the time because I don't want guys to think I have crushes on them when I don't. Is that weird?

Why can't guys and girls just be friends?

Anyways, I am wondering if I should get out of this relationship (we have a child) before my self esteem and sanity, go right out the window. He is always "forgetting" what I ask or say to him, yet he will remember anything to do with sexual activity.
He never listens to me unless the word sex in it, otherwise Im talking to a brick wall.
The only thing that will send his temper through the roof (and he will make me look like the bad guy) is if you refuse to have sex with him, anything else doesnt even come close.
When I was 8 months pregant, he tried to kill me by strangulation (he makse it sound less serious than it was) I gave him a second chance (i know stupid), to this day he doesnt show any remorse for it, he just says "sorry" with no real emotion.
Looking back for the last 3 years, I have realised that I wasnt ever happy, just "rolling over"....I want out, I have told him and he threatens to take my son away. I dont know what to do, cause I am a stay home mom.

all my life, i've known that i had a sixth sense, i didn't know what the feeling that i get is, but now that i've searched online, i knew it's telepathy. i get a feeling or a thought on my mind, and then i see it coming true. what's really worrying me these days that it's happening VERY often now, it's really scaring me. i saw my friend's car one day as i was passing by her house, and i thought what if i see her now and says she wants me to bake her another plate of my cookies, after 15 minutes she calls and says "everyone loved your cookies, you think you can bake me some more please?" it freaked me out. my husband promised to not smoke again, he stopped for a week, but he smoked one lastnight, i didn't smell it or anything, but a thought came to my mind and i asked "are you smoking again?" he was shocked and so was i for a fact. what's going on here? i have had this feeling for long, but now it's much stronger. why do some people have this and others don't?

humans are unstable, not only emotionally but biologically...as creatures we need food constantly to prevent our bodies from going radioactive (carbon 14).

Emotionally and psychologically, we often need to 'belong' in order to feel at peace. It also stems from inside...Those who are seeking 'to belong' usually are insecure, and need someone to give them strength. Then there are those that are comfortable with themselves...but desire to comfort others, which gives them purpose.

But most of this is done out of lack of information. If you knew the information of how you stood in the Universe...you would not seek.....you would feel secure and at peace. You would only seek for other things, such as entertainment, or things to pass the time. But once you were sure of your entity, your needs socially (love, friendship, acceptance) and spiritually (religion, philosophical questions)...become less poignant.

I help him thru depression, suicide threats bc he got a one night stand pregnant before we met. I feel he layed a huge burden on my shoulders. I told him many times to seek prof help, but he wanted to talk to only me. Then when I help him come to terms with having a child, he ends our relationhip to pursue one with the mom. And I found this out when I was in the hospital., she called me, & then when I confronted him he told me never to call him again! They are not together shockingly. After, I figured he was confused and wanted to remain friends, but now he completely ignores me and I feel so hurt and used, and all I cant help but call him &leave messages& yell at him, deservingly so. I cant let it go and dont know what to do anymore. I am in therapy, &its just not right.I feel the whole suicide thing he layed on me got to me,& I cant understand how someone can possibly do this to another human being?I thought I knew him and he really valued me.Its been 6 months &i cant let the anger go.

When I see this person I shiver profusely, briefly following I develop chills. My heart even begins to speed up. This does not necessarily mean we have had conversation, in fact, we have not in sometime. Yet, if I hear about him or see pictures of him from old friends I begin to shake. I don't understand. Can someone inform me please?

Seriously! Medically you can die from having to much stress in your life. Why do we as a society put so much emphasis on living such stressful lives? Why do we do this to ourselves? What is the point of it all? Is everyone just running around trying to exhuast themselves to death? People also kill others because they are to stressed out. Go figure.

For my whole life helping people has always been something I've done. I love to do it, it is very important to me and I firmly believe in it. The thing is, I never help myself. If I'm really really down, I don't seek any help...but if someone I think just might be, I am all over it. I help my friends achieve things that will make them happy but don't do it for myself. I bend over backwards for other people, people I don't even know and I think its a great thing...but sometimes I need help too, and I never get any (and refuse to ask). What do I need to do to learn to help myself? I just don't get it...sometimes the only that that motivates me is it I convince myself that benefiting me will benefit someone else. Why do I care about how other people are, but not myself?

This one story i been told is that, it is possible to have a dream in about 5-10 seconds. I been told that , if you follow these steps im going to list below, you would fell in REM period and have a dream in about 5-10 seconds. You need 4 people for this. including your self. 1, crouch down next to the wall, with your back facing the wall. 2, breath in hard, till you cannot get anymore air in, then breath out all the air, all the air, till you cannot breath anymore air out, repeat this for three time, and on the third time, breath in till you cannot get anymore air in, then quickly stand up, while still facing the wall with your back. 3, while standing up, get a another person, to stand infront of you, and put both hand on your chest, push down, and quickly increase the pressure. it is said with in a few second, you will lose control of your body, and this is when the other two person hold you when you falls down. Then they must wake you up in about 5-10 second. you will have a dream.

I find it very hard to deal with these types of people...their sense of reality is skewed, and their prohibitions are lowered. They don't realize some of the stuff they're saying is hurtful, or some of the things they're doing is hurtful and a lot of them end up alone.

Of course, I'm not saying EVERY person with ADHD is like this (Ty Pennington for example) but a lot of them can be.

How do you deal with people like this?
