stress is like a drug. people oftern use stress to lose wt, etc, yet too much stress can cause seizures, migranes and in some cases stress causes death. we as a society teach the people that we should work, eat, and work out to balance life. that is cool, but what if you do not have time to do all 3 things to stay in balance, then what happens? well, lets just say that nervous breakdowns, depression, crying, lack of sleep and poor grades are the result. i am a student of 22 yrs of age and am going through a rough time since school is no piece of cake and have cried and had nervous breakdowns andmore problems than my parents had when they were my age. i guess that we the society do not know how to have fun or how to actually balance work and that when you go home you do not leave your work related problems at work and same with the family and home things. that is what people in Europe do: they eat, work hard at work, then have a nice glass of wine with friends after work and enjoy life. i guess that the more technology evolves the more stressful life will become as well as more exhausting. there is a big competition for jobs, salaries, etc as well as everything else. and to answer the question of why we do this this to ourselves is because we do not know better. we as people take on so much responsability yet do not know our limits and it get s hectic. we sometimes lose track that we are not superhuman but rather average and we think that we can handle a family, kids, extracurricular activities, work, cooking, cleaning and everything else in 24 hours a day offers. we do this to ourselves because we put everyone or everything fisr before us and than us which is sad when it comes to priorities. the point of all this chaos to many people is to have a better life, their kids to have a better life while for others it is to make more money. yes we as a society are exhausting ourselves be it school, work or every day chores since after a couple of weeks most of people's bodies give up on them. we do not know our limits and do not know when to say know or rather are trying to make everything better for kids, etc while killing ourselves.

people do die from stress thats right but we arent intentionally killing ourselves with stress. i mean if everyone was just care free and never worried about anything then there would be ten times more homeless/starving people alot more crimes and blahdy blah blah blah.... and if you think about it everyone is gonna die someday everything we do these days is hurting us in someway pushing us closer to our death beds... drinking soda or alcohol sometimes even the water in our community, eating fast food salty foods and sweets so often that now over half the population is obese or diabetic... hell even breathing in the poluted air is killong us more and more every day.... but no one really worries about any of those things.... so why care that by stressing we are killing ourselves????

I think humans have a long enough life span as it is and if we could eliminate every threat and disease to our lives then the poulation would skyrocket and boom... no more earth resources. That is why I am against medical technology I say let nature do it's own work.
