Psychology - October 2006

For example, does one year feel longer for one person than it does for another? Is this linked to any kind of chemical in the brain or body?

Also...when we have a good time somewhere, things seem to go by more quickly than they do when we're not enjoying ourselves. Is any of this linked to a chemical or mechanism that changes our perception of time?

Have any studies ever been done on this or is there any kind of scientific or medical explanation?

My first dream was that my mother in law was stealing my sons bananas from the kitchen... the second i dont remember- i fell asleep on the couch last night and my husband tried to wake me up- (deep sleeper) and I said something like "Im waiting for my seafood" .... and then I had a dream i was at my parents house and we were all swimming, and stuff, and had a couple boxes of pizza- and it was cooked but the cheese on top was not melted... ?????????

I think I am a jealous person, even if I don't show it, I sometimes hurt inside when somebody is more succesfull, have better partner, look nicer, etc. Why is that? Do you feel the same? Honest answers, please.

fascination with this particular writing. If you are familiar with this short story, please give me some feed back on why I think this story was written for me. Diagnose me, pull me apart in pieces, but just explain to me the best way you can, why I have loved this since I was in school, which was decades ago. I still have it and read it every so often. I do like some of this other work, but this one is stuck in my head.
If you have not read it, please do, and answer my question as honestly as you can.
Am I really a happy person or am I fooling myself.
Please don't tell me to go to a Psychologist, because I do go from time to time, when needed. Thank you.

last night i had a dream i was changing to have a shower and was in a room that when the door shut the glass walls fogged up so couldn't see in. When i was topless i noticed people could in fact see me, and by people i mean loads of blokes, three of whom are close friends.... i was mortified and hiding myself in a coat ran off to pack my bags (think i was on holiday with mates) two of mates tried to comfort me by saying they're nice boobies etc but made it worse and i moaned that i wasn't that bothered they looked as they're male, but was narked that they didn't think to help me and warn me everyone could see....

anyone care to venture in telling me what my dream means?

It seems like every decision I've made in life has been the wrong one. I'm in my 20s and I know it's not too late but every major decision I've been faced with in hindsight has been the wrong one. I hate feeling regret.
