Why do most humans have prejudices, intolerances, or categorizing others?

It is obvious that we are all different. Even two siblings are not alike in thinking or actions. Every fingerprint is different, so why do we continue to categorize people, have prejudices of others who think different, etc..?

because people like everyother living energy are either ordered or chaotic...ordered people have these things because they need to file them into different compartments and categories in order to sort through them and understand them...these are probably the type of people who also need to find a rational explanation for everything on the whole...chaotic people are probably more fluid and changeable, accepting of most things and therefore everything holds equal status without explanation...things just 'are' to these people...thats my theory anyways,lol

I am intrigued by this question, truly. It is an ever interweaving complicated spiritual makeup of live. All living things have prejudices/preferences and intolerances. But the human has the faculty of choice, therefore, we can think. It just happens that the psychological or the competitiveness in manipulation/mental persuasion seems to make one look and feel empowered when others follow the beliefs (however real or intelligent the information being shared is), but it is the illusion of understanding and therefore must know what one is talking about in order to persuade another. It's like spreading a rumor when the second party does not do their research and let what the first party's words internalize in your mind. Most of us do not know how must of our beliefs were formed nor understand them to the fullest. We are just a bunch of 'followers' or 'crabs'. In the beginning was LOVE and now humans have mainly gravitated towards HATE. I guess it's like LIFE and we gravitate towards DEATH. But when individuals work towards understanding why they have prejudices/preferences, intolerances and starting accepting life for what it is then we can stop categorizing in order to put ourselves in the TOP 2. Show me a person who is truly all of that and I promise he or she will have some real frailties. LOVE and controlled has nothing in common. But humans believe this is a true pair, and the really insecure person at the "TOP" thinks he really has power. He/she does not have the power because he/she could do things themselves. But because he needs others he needs to understand that LIFE made each person comes into this world with the same framework of LIFE, and he is given choices/options to design the varieties of levels he prefers to experience activities that come his way by the choices that he and all of us make and come at us at different times during our lives. We must realize that we're all linked together so your decision regarding your prejudice, intolerances while you put your labels on another is really about what you think and feel and reflects directly your insecurities that you need to deal with. I like being different from others, because I can be at the TOP of my game or at the bottom of my game and I'll still be different from everyone else. And because people don't take the time to understand why someone else isn't the EXACT same as they are makes them inferior of the other. That's all it boils down to. But just think, what would the world be like if we were all one and the same...and who should that be? I would think none of us - we're too busy wanting to be like someone else. We can't even stand ourselves - so why would we like anyone else. Ponder that.

[B]ecause it is taught over time through school, family, society, etc.. Most kids are pure at first, but then you see them make fun of others who are different then them. Sometimes it is to feel better about ones self by saying their standards are higher than the next. All is wrong if you ask me. We all stand on level ground, we all have beating hearts, and a brain to think. So we just all need to get a long and value the other person's thoughts even though different.

Human beings are considered cognitive misers..They,in any case,want to reduce cognitive load..They hold prejudices and discrimination and intolerance and categorization because they have default opinions about a person is that way , so that they do not have to have the load of interacting with that person , this in a way blocks their mind ..Thats the way it is. he's the situation. We needless to say have faith Christ while He says, "i'm the way, the certainty and the existence, no one comprises the daddy different than by potential of me." Now, i would be the 1st to admit, Christians have heavily lost the compassion that Christ had, and have heavily embraced a judgemental techniques-set (and that i for one am attempting to no longer try this). whether, we needless to say have faith that different religions and non secular expression are incorrect because of the fact any concept in something different than Salvation by potential of grace on my own by using Christ on my own is erroneous. It must be that way. Salvation by potential of works, or good deeds or money is erroneous. it truly is incorrect becuase the certainty is: salvation by potential of grace by using Christ. i can work out the way it comes in the time of as intolerance, yet while there's a proper way, then by potential of definition, each little thing else is the incorrect way. I think it is a persons way of making them feel better about themself, if they can find something wrong or different about another then that means they are superior. People who are pretty secure with themselves usually don't have any prejudices.
