When people say 'I wasnt being myself' how can that be? Is it just an excuse for a silly moment? Surely people are being themselves whatever way they behave, each behaviour being a small part of their overall personality. How can a person be anything other that what they are, which is themselves?

The movie is either dramatic or impactful on the watcher's emotions, and makes the watcher wonder with the lines...etc.

Thank you.

I'm a psychology student with aspirations to become a clinical or counseling psychologist. Faith wise, I'm an agnostic, and religion doesn't really play any role in my thinking or decision making. I've been told that my lack of faith might hinder my ability to empathize with clients, since most people do hold some type of theistic faith. But I've also been told that faith shouldn't play a role at all or could even hinder one's objectivity. Don't really know which side to believe. What do you think?

How true it is that if a person is coming from a broken family, she or he are going to have the same ending??? (i am talking about cheating problems with their parents, it just happened to me, i never believe it, but my 2 and half years fiance cheated on me for the second time, the weird thing is that she was always crying that she didn't want to be like her dad and that she didn't want a broken family, and she broke it even before getting married....)

I am struggling right now with some pretty cruddy stuff. How can I tell people that I need support and not criticism. Give me some pointers to guiding people to do that.

i've had an irrational fear of sharks ever since i can remember. i dont swim in the beach and i dont go in the pool by myself. i can't see pictures of sharks without having a panic attack or not being able to breathe. and much less see them on tv. ...i really do panic. is there such thing as a shark phobia?
or is it just a normal fear of something?

If a question offends you, wouldn't it be more productive to just report the question as being offensive and then IGNORE it?
