I'm speaking emotionally. Do you feel drained sometimes, exhausted from trying to help others feel better all the time?
I feel that sometimes I have to go away for a day to recharge, maybe find someone I can borrow some positivity from for a little bit.
Being around the negative for too long can eat you alive, if you aren't careful.

This friday(8/9) is my birthday and coincidently my school's prefectorial board farewell party (in a hotel). I wanted to celebrate my birthday with my family but I want to have fun in the party. If I go to the farewell party, it will be too late to blow the cake with family members. If I don't go to party, it wouldn't be right for someone holding the number 4th post in the board. Any suggestions?

I am 17, living with my parents. I do not communicate with my parents that well... We only speak to each other when there is something important to be told, ortherwise it's silence between us.. I have an older brother, and we hardly talk.. Only time we talk to each other is when we need to borrow something from each other or when there's a phone call for the other... I do have friends, but they rarely come to my house and I rarely go to theirs.. Only time we get to really hang out is in school..
For the past 7 or 8 years, I've started doing the following:
-talking to myself
-laugh on my own when I remember something funny
-get really mad when something that triggers me enters my mind
-i talk to empty spaces as if my friend is there
-it has became my daily routine

Anyone who knows what problem do I have, please do tell... I have never told anyone about this until now.. Not even my closest friends, not even my parents...I am too afraid that they'll cast me out of their lives..

I've noticed that stupid questions with not much required thinking get so many answers, most of them stupid too, but when I ask something more serious and intellectual, I'm lucky to get 3 answers? Sexual, romance and beauty questions get a tonne of answers too.

Why do boys stick their hands down their trousers...talk about which girls are "fit"...lie about loseing thier viginity...tell their mates what they have done with their new girlfriend...call each other gay before running around naked in the P.E changing rooms hiting each other with towles....what is going on...surely they can't all be like this and will they ever improve, if so when?

sometimes i just know what's the right thing to do, but i don't do it... because of some reasons.. like i need to help my pregnant sister pack her things cause it's very heavy and it's not good for her.. her husband was not there and im the only one around. but i did'nt help her because im busy with my studies.. it's exam next week.. and it's very very hard. i wanted to pass all my subjects.. i know it will take about 2 and a half hours to help her.. im so stupid.. i just can't waste time.. i hate my studies for always comming on the way. darn it!
