I don't know if that was the devil, dreams are subconscious I found this out. Things aren't always that bad. I once had a dream of someone holding a gun to my head and felt the muzzle grow hotter and hotter against my scalp and actually cried in my dream, it was too real. Right in my own house too. That happened two years ago. Apparently, it symbolized something, but I'm not sure. But hey, I'm alive today, a fourteen year old answering your questions as nicely as I can. If you can remember a lot of details from the dream, (such as darkness) type that in as a key word in the dictionary

thats so scarey ,poor you ,did it seem really real ,as if it did it could be you are having a preminition ,it could be ,whats about to happen its nothing to do with the devil,as he would have taken you if he wanted you ,nothing would have stopped him even a loved one ,
the dark mass could be something that will happen to you ,that u do not understand,so there for u cant see what it is ,ur mind is hiding it from you ,
but dont worry ,just dont go out when its dark ,till these dreams have gone,, as the darkness may indicate night .
but if its any help at all ,the loved one saving you ,could be the answere,it could just be in ur mind ,ur subconcious mind that is ,that you feel you need to be loved more ,and the dark mass could be playing the part of ur life falling apart if you were to lose ur loved one ,
either way u werent hurt this time ,but i would see it as a warning of something bad about to happen ,keep ur eyes and ears pealed ,
the badness might even be a close friend or relative,it dont nessisarilly mean you ,
but if u r really worried go and see a hypnotist and get them to put u under,as the answere may be very deep, and this may be the only way to recover it ,
i wish you well

The short answer to the primary question is "Yes - that's his job." But you don't have to listen. Let the voicemail pick up his call.
As for your "dream" (or waking vision, is it?), what is your own sense of it? You will know what it means better than anyone else will. Are you, for example, comforted by the arrival of your loved one in the experience? How good are you at focusing your mind on positive (to you positive) thoughts and your heart on love? If you believe in the devil, do you also believe in a god or a Buddha? Can you focus your attention more there than on devils? Are you inclined to drink or other drugs which (in sufficient quantity or with susceptible minds) can lead to perceptions of hostile spirits?

Not unless you are mentally ill, physically sick, or seeking psychic and religious powers.
Dreams are most often caused by some unresolved emotional business you have had in the past day or three. I don't know how old you are, but this sounds like a childhood recall to me. It would help to know what loved one comes for you.
If the dream keeps repeating you have the option to remove the dark covering if you determine to do so. Chances are the dark covering is not something hiding from you, but you hiding something from yourself.

The darkness could represent many things. What are you going through right now? What are you worried about? Our subconscious mind will speak to us in our dreams. Spend sometime thinking about what is going on in your life.
In response to your addt'l details: if it were real and not a dream, you must be messing around with the occult, or close to someone who is, and you should be very concerned.

The darkness could just simply be the unknown and not something evil. perhaps you feel drawn to explore it and loved ones keep you grounded, perhaps even hold you back? maybe you're slightly bored with the way your life is and want something new out of it. just a thought. i don't think that darkness automatically represents the devil.

The devil wants every ones soul. Also, who is the one you love in your dream?

It makes sense but I doubt its the devil. You are thinking about it to much therefor your subconscious is taking over when asleep, the more your worry the worse it gets. It may be hard but try not to think about it. If you have to, pick another worry that isnt as bad as this one. I'm sure you have better things to worry your pretty little head over.

the devil does try to get people's souls, and love does conquer the devil. someone who loves you is looking out for you. don't do anything that the devil loves, such as hate, cause harm to someone else, lie, cheat or steal. always try to do what you believe is the right thing to do. in everything you are faced with, ask yourself what would jesus do?
