Stay sensitive! You don't want to be the kind of person who is hard-hearted and doesn't care for anyone or anything.

I don think this is a fault. I think if the world had more people who where sensitive and considerate to others feelings, it would be a much better place to live. I too am like this, but that is just my make up and I accept it. Rather this than being unsensitive to others and not caring about others feelings. I suppose you could work on ways of communicating your feelings like i found helped

You can't actually stop yourself from being overly sensitive, but you can control it somehow. You don't want to suppress your true feelings, do you? But I'd suggest for you to try asking yourself everytime you feel like crying at something, "is the matter really worth crying for?" Com'on... give it a shot. ;-)

That's very interesting problem. First things first. Who is it that is identifying things over which you cry as "stupid"? You or others? Are you the one who defines "overly"? Next question. How is this condition interfering with your life?

Control is the key to reduce being sensitive towards some things and depends on how you feel that something you want to change.

You can't. It's the way you are. Your best bet is to try to avoid or prevent the situations that make you cry.

oh, i'm with ya on that one, hunnie. i don't know what can help this short of training yourself to know what's what...but you're not alone. *hug* if you need to talk to someone, get ahold of me and let me know via my 360. or email. write it out...talk to a trusted friend...whatever you need to do. also talk to the person who caused the tears. believe me...more then likely they didn't mean it, and when you hear it from their mouth, you'll feel so much better.
