I've noticed that stupid questions with not much required thinking get so many answers, most of them stupid too, but when I ask something more serious and intellectual, I'm lucky to get 3 answers? Sexual, romance and beauty questions get a tonne of answers too.

People, I don't necessarily mean MY questions - but yes, some of mine have gotten poor responses and some have gotten a lot, usually the easy sexual ones!
I'm not seeking attention, so stop flattering yourselves.

If you daft people actually bother to READ my whole questions and understand the motivation behind them - ie getting into the mind of people - then you'd realise they're deeper than they seem.

Don't take it personal. I am a PhD and have had two answers to some of my questions. I really don't think they were dumb questions. Just remember this; the only dumb question is the one not asked.

A lot of people are here for entertainment. They ask frivolous questions or they don't want to work too hard to write answers. If these folks see a question that might require a little work to answer, they'll just ignore it.
Others in Yahoo! Answers seem to be here for their own agendas, and ask questions based on those agendas: Such as, "Don't you think people who do this or believe that are stupid?"
If someone asks a serious question, they're taking their chances on what kinds of answers they'll get. If they're lucky, someone who actually knows the answer and wants to help will respond.
One other thought: Timing may have something to do with it. I don't know how many people visit this site, but the quality of the questions and answers seems to vary with the time of day.

Hi Mona.
I give this answer with no intent to criticise or offend but questions like Guy's so you like a girl? Do you moan? and how Pretty am I? (especially when we cant see you) do not really qualify as 3 brain cell + questions. I know you later said that you were not talking about just your questions but youe original question did state When 'I' ask a question.
I do take your point though and agree with the basic premise and like answering intelligent questions (though I confess I contribute my fair share of silly answers as well, especially to silly questions). However, if you want decent answers I'm your man. If I come across any of your sensible questions I promise you a sensible answer. By the way do you have a 360 page (I didn't check) If not get one and you will get a better quality of interaction with others.
Stay Lucky
Malcolm.
Ps as I said this answer was not meant to upset (just to be honest) but whatevwer else you think of it I hope you will agree it was, at least, well reasoned.

Not everybody is intellectual. Some have difficult qualities and attributes. Stupid questions if they sound cool work for people but serious and intellectual can make people cringe. Sexual is good: everybody likes the body parts that make babies. Romance is fine, exciting stuff. Beauty is wonderful as well. It is those difficult intelligence-aptitude requiring questions that give people cause and make them click some other hyperlink.

Well There seems to be a lot of younger people using the Yahoo answers as a play ground. There for you have the teenage vanity issues, and raging hormones that can sniff out a sex question a mile away.
The few solid answers that you do get are most likely from adults who actually want to help some one and not play games.

I realized that too. These are some reasons I think why its like that:
1. Most people just want to gain points and they would answer questions with just a word or two.
2. They just don't plainly know how to answer or the answer.
3. Most people find sex as a more attractive topic.
4. Maybe most of them don't care at all..
This is just my opinion..

Jordan, My answer won't make you satisfied nor will it supply you a revelation of any variety. there's no burden of information while it involves Christianity or the different faith. faith is in keeping with some thing referred to as faith. faith is an extremely complicated element to show or disprove. so some distance as a theory in sensible layout, nicely theory sorta works the comparable way too, there's no data or for that remember clarification. it is not some form of contest between Christians and Atheists or every physique else in between the two. some human beings have the skill to settle for issues which at the instant are not tangible or real interior the sense that this is considered or felt in actual sense. wager what, there's no data and if that's what you're searching for for or difficult somebody else to grant you will in no way locate it. So, relax it is not substantial to every physique different than people who can't settle for what they can't see, pay attention, touch or scent. rather, this isn't any enormous deal.

That's a little Harsh, considering you are looking for substance, the question should entice more of the Brain that you are requesting....or demanding.
Wouldn't you rather have 3 intelligent answers than a handful of irrational quips.
Or could it be that you are perceiving ones intelligent value solely based on your own opinion because you did not receive the recognition that you believe that you deserve.

Well, it's not the amount of answers that really matters.
You may need only one answer for getting the clues about what you keep looking for.
I also suggest you to re-ask (almost) the same question at other times of the day, when more people are online (USA...)
"Stupid" questions/answers help me accept others' difference.

Well, I checked your previous questions. They are some really hard ones to ponder with....
"Do you moan?"
"How pretty am I?"
"Women and Orgasm...."
I just don't think I can make my brain work hard enough to answer these very hard trivial questions. Maybe you should pick something a little easier next time. Damn!! I have a headache now for working more than 3 brain cells to answer this.

Perhaps because simple questions are easier to answer. And I don't really think alot of people come in here to have deep, stimulating, intellectual conversation. This is mostly for entertainment and if I have to think to hard I don't want to answer the question.
