You have the capability to do the right thing just like the rest of us. It comes down to making the right decision. You are the only one that controls your actions. Remember, when you do good, good things come back to you.

For that matter, you only cared about yourself and you assured yourself that your pregnant sister will understand -- your studies are important, too.
Well, that could be the reason why you can't do things right. You always find an excuse not to do what you think is right; but somewhere in the corner of your thoughts comes the guilt... that very same guilt why you failed to do what you've thought was the right thing to do.
You might want to change that attitude. If you're sure to yourself that something right has to be done, just go and do it. Your possible excuse for not doing the right thing can definitely wait for its turn and you'll rather have a guilt-free feeling.

sometimes you have to help your self. one way to solve this problem would have been to tell your sister that you can only help for a little while, half hour or so, go and move the heavier things and go back to your studies. this way you are not missing out on too much studie time and you still help your sister. you dont want to totally ditch your sister after all you might need her help some day.

Hi, compromise is a good thing to always consider...
You can help her out, and do your studies if pace yourself, and maybe in exhcange for a little help, your sister will help with your studies.
It's a really good thing you are wanting to achieve the best results at school, afterall this is your future and you can do that and help your sister, get up an hour earlier to squeeze in some extra study, or stay up an hour later or sacrifice TV time for it-but there is time if take the time to pace yourself.

Good luck with school xxx

It's not your fault so don't be upset at yourself. You didn't make her pregnant and if she really needed the help why isn't the love of her life there helping out?

Obviously the helping hand would be nice but I didn't hear you say that she helped you with your studies...

She will be fine... You go do what you have to do and if there is something to heavy I am sure she will ask for your help.

as you said, its just 2 minutes. school shouldnt take over your whole life. take care of the important things first, if its not going to take you much time do it, you dont know just how much it will mean to whoever it is. if you seriously really really really and i mean really cant do it, well tell the person you are unable to do it. just remember dont take things for granted those 5 seconds spent telling a friend how much they mean could be the best thing you do for someone the whole day and you never know little blessing come in disguise dont neglect the important things.

well, have her help you with your studies. tell her to make out a study guide for you while you are lifting the more heavier things for her. have your sister question you on some topics for your exams. just because she can't lift things, she can help you study while you do the job for her.

You're not stupid, you're human. And you're busy. Your studies are very important for your future. I'm sure if your sister was depserate for your help she would have begged you to help her.
