What steps should I take to become a lucid dreamer. Does anyone who lucidly dreams have any advice on how one reaches this state of mind? I can remember my dreams sort of, but something triggers them during the day (i.e. my was green but turned blue before my eyes. In reality I saw a green car followed by several blue cars).

Why are things that go 'bump' in the night so scary, but you never get the least bit scared by the things that go 'bump' in the daytime?

Does proving that you can earn more and give your family a good life make you proud? Is it the size of your penis and the way you please a woman? What really makes a man proud of himself?

This is a serious question.

I'm just wondering if anyone feels as helpless as me sometimes... I mean I know I am a very intellectual and sensitive person, but some days I just feel like crying, and I feel like nothing I can do will change this. Has anyone else ever experienced these feelings and if so, how did you cope?

We all seem to have someone we are not particularily nice too in our lives...

Be they at school, in the office, at home...

Your next door neighbour... (Neighbor U.S.A.)

Try and go out of your way to be nice today, some people out there may be hurting deeply because you either ignore them everyday... or you pick on them, (even Bosses here!) Or generally just not nice too!

You know I did this for someone today... and the smile i got was heart warming... I'l be nicer from now on... this person obviously needed cheering up... Maybe because of a problem at home, maybe because life is bad enough; without having to cope with our nastier sides!

I'm so proud of you for doing this... Thanks!

i had a dream a couple of days ago that my exboyfriend's parents (both died in a car crash), were with us in an apartment that we have rented so we can meet.
My mother and i were there and we were all watching tv. then the parents and my ex went to sleep on the couches.. there was an open bath in the middle of the bedroom and me and my mom took showers..then i wrapped myself with a towel and i was walking out of the room, his father (who's deceased) stopped me and told me that there is no need for these visits anymore, and that we (his son and i) should get married..i told him that i need to finish college first..then he told me with a serious tone, you should know what you want first! you wanna marry my son, or pursue your education.......i was thinking to myself that all this will be sorted out when my ex wakes up and we discuss it....but never really told his father that....what does that mean?
by the way..the father's legs were both amputated..though he wasn't when he was alive.

I am sure that EVERYONE always thinks that he/she is ALWAYS right. I cannot imagine that anyone holds an opinion or belief that they, themselves, knows is wrong.
That is why there is so much conflict. IF it were not so, we would have agreement not disagreement.
The ability to keep in one's mind that "I am open to being 100% wrong on this" is the best way, in my humble opinion, to better one's self and one's life/community.
Do you agree?

Ever wondered if something controls our thoughts; our actions, and is playing with our lives, even the lives of others? If we are used like puppets?

why is it people in high paid selfish jobs get so much more respect and praise in life, than people with lower paid, thoughtful jobs? Is it really such a great human trait to be selfish
I mean what is more valued working for an insurance company, or helping old people live a quality of life. For most people the first one seems to be more appealing. Yet the latter a lot more essential. An insurance company can conn you out of thousands of pounds, and a carer could be a lifeline for someone. Seeing someone in a suit demands respect? Makes them a better person??
Will people ever get their priorities right???
