i had a dream a couple of days ago that my exboyfriend's parents (both died in a car crash), were with us in an apartment that we have rented so we can meet.
My mother and i were there and we were all watching tv. then the parents and my ex went to sleep on the couches.. there was an open bath in the middle of the bedroom and me and my mom took showers..then i wrapped myself with a towel and i was walking out of the room, his father (who's deceased) stopped me and told me that there is no need for these visits anymore, and that we (his son and i) should get married..i told him that i need to finish college first..then he told me with a serious tone, you should know what you want first! you wanna marry my son, or pursue your education.......i was thinking to myself that all this will be sorted out when my ex wakes up and we discuss it....but never really told his father that....what does that mean?
by the way..the father's legs were both amputated..though he wasn't when he was alive.

well obviously, you disagree with your future Father in law as in my opinion "he hasn't got a leg to stand on"! You see you have answered your own question......... the last thing you saw was that his opinion was not well grounded and thus he had no legs...... subtle but true, don't you think? You have your stand and you are steadfast! Atta girl......... you stand on your two feet and stand your ground......... as you can see he can't!

You are looking for an affirmation of your current plans. Your heart (the ex's father) wants to go to college, sort out career, etc. Your mind wants to pursue a relationship. You don't think you can do both at once. About the legs being amputated, your heart is feeling powerless to move forward until your mind lines up with it.

Personally, I am not sure if dreams have any significance other than our sub-conscious mind trying to deal with all the junk that gets thrown into our mind. Are you conflicted about your plans for the future? Take your time as it is YOUR life, not anybody else's. If you feel that you should finish your education, then do so. Any reason you can't get married and finish your education? In this case, you probably can have your cake and eat it too!!!!!

In modern psychology you would be asked to assign your own meanings to the aspects of the dream that are most significant to you.
My general impression is that you are at a crossroads in your life. If this is true, then I think you can start applying meaning to the dream

uncertainty. You are uncertain about the break up. You want one thing, yet you still want another.
You need to sit down and figure out what you want to do. You can still go to school and be married, its not that hard. Just wait til you finish to have kids ;)

Hi! usually to dream of being visited by dead people means that this or these dead persons want you to visit their tomb, to remember them and talk to them. The things the your ex boyfriend's dad said to u reflects that u maybe regret and wish that u'd taken another decision concerning your boyfriend.
