You're talking about hedonism, sort of.

My logical reasoning says I already know this path leads to suffering. There's a much better feeling alternative. Just helping others.

What the heck does that mean? Life to the fullest without hurting anyone.

From a logic standpoint lets look at this...can you live a life without hurting anyone? Has anyone EVER done that? No.

That said, the argument is flawed. The goal can't be to not hurt anyone, that can't be done.

That just leaves living life to the fullest. What does that mean? Who's definition of "fullest" do we use? Yours? Mine?

This is not a valid logical argument.

Not sure about the logic in that- hopefully living your life to the fullest does not include harming yourself either. Life can be long if people live healthy, safe and productive lives...

I do not think this is logical because it is impossible to live (even without living to the fullest) without hurting anyone.

It is illogical because we can't please everybody, at one point or another, whether we intend to or not, we hurt other people. Unless we live alone, we do not risk hurting other but I doubt that living life to the fullest entails being alone. That is also illogical.

There are too many people who are suffering from self-imposed constrictions by reason of religion, erroneous ideals, misunderstanding, unwillingness, closemindedness and end up living a miserable, frustrated, and unhappy existence, then die, without having lived a fulfilling and satisfying life.

life is to short and you should enjoy it but at the same time live a moral life because i believe in the life after this one.. where god will take us home and we will never have pain or sorrow again.. lots of things in this world are not good at all for us to be involved in...i know many do not believe this way.. but i believe and i wish to follow the way of god...i have experienced life in the world and i would not take all the riches in this world to lose the home and promise of a place in heaven , and by the grace of god i will recieve....

Do the things you want to do now, don't put them off because that day may never come. Plan your days. In other words, "Live your life on purpose."

i believe it, but you must also think of risks that follow along, and many people who are religious think of the afterlife, so that's keeps them from doing many things they want to. i believe you cant be religious and be hedonistic.. its like an oxymoron.
