If you were just ordered by an elderly couple to take care of a 6 year old girl what would your reaction be
the relationship is that the you are the child's rich older cousin and the eelderly couple is the girl's grandparents. The grandparents are taking care of the girl because her parents have died. They are asking you because they are dying.

Respect the wishes of my grandparents. That way they can live in peace the remainder of their life and the child would have someone how can more actively be involved in their life and upbringing. Yeah, having a kid would suck if you were young, life isn't always fair though, and I like to think that most things happen for a reason.

If you don't want to take the 6 year old, don't feel bound by someone else's wishes. The child will suffer and it isn't fair to either of you. Seek professional advice from an attorney immediately!

I would do it.If you are rich then you could hire a nanny.I am raising girl 14 now,had her since she was 3,it's been rough and I am not rich but last yr. for mothers day she gave me a letter letting me know how thankful she was for me taking her in.That was one of the best presents I could ever have.

ok this is what i would do. if you do not want to raise the child dont. not good for you or the child.perhaps you could send her to boarding school.see her on holidays and such.you do you part for the family.she gets a good education. and everyone lives happily ever after the end.

if you are rich, than you should see it as a chance to help someone much less fortunate than you. i would take care of the girl in a heartbeat.

I would take care of her. If I had the means to do so, then there shouldn't be a problem.
